Meet single man from California, United States. I've been divorced for 12 years with the best kids in the world but not a single's bar type guy. I've had one long term relationship since the divorce. One short one after, but we all have our pasts, right?
Bottom line is I'm not "a player." I'm a very old fashion kind of guy that opens the door and holds a chair for a women. I love old classic movies, am a "sap" for romantic movies and love sci fi. Always active enjoying most sports especially basketball, but really love a good hike in the woods.
Keeping in shape is important to me. I'm at the YMCA everyday using the equipment and/or doing yoga.Yoga has become something surprising and wonderful and I do 5-6 times a week on average. Have to stay in shape to keep up with my kids and busy life!! I love to cook and watch all the cooking shows while doing housework or writing. I love to travel and in the past my writing in the Star Trek world has taken me to Paris and other places.
Paris is the best because I love museums, romance and art! (I have great friends there too) Love doing outdoor things, especially hiking in the redwoods or a nice walk on the beach. A good picnic/BBQ is always fun too! My kids are a huge part of my life and I am very involved with their lives and activities, but they are older now so I have much more "me" time. I've made sure the divorce didn't affect them too much and it hasn't.
Believe in soul mates to a point. I think a relationship that works is one you work on. Honesty and communication are super important to me! Life is too short for anything else, and those two things are the foundations of a relationship of any kind! Sometimes I feel l was born 400 years too early or too late. I love the old world of "King Arthur" and the future of Star Trek. I grew up at Candlestick Park and my family has owned season tickets since 1970. Those are the basics of my life, but there are a lot more.

I love both old and new music but usually gravitate towards the newer alternative stuff. I don't really get country or hard rap (not like they are comparable!) but pretty much like everything else.

Meet someone special from United States. It's tough to describe one who has lived virtually his whole adult life working at the ideal profession/career, in one of the best locations on the planet. I have been fortunate to have spent selective quality time w/ some very beautiful, special Northern California females, yet haven't found the ideal match that can mesh into this work/play/life's meaning sort of lifestyle that I've created and continue live on a daily basis.
Photography/ designing/ publishing my own creations then handling all aspects of selling/distribution to my Sonoma County based retailers is big a portion of my day-to-day existence. Each year I publish the Sonoma County Photo and Event calendar and have previously published up to 7 individual calendars in a year. To date, 50 calendars as well as several picture books, posters, cards, etc. have been produced.
I truly do live a special life, everyday is uniquely different and an oddly workable adventure of creativity/business, though what's tough to find is the counterpart that can keep up with this mix of uniqueness in one person, I have something like 35 "job" titles!, but this job is a lifelong passion, so it's not work at all. missing is a match that can keep up with it all, and appreciate true passion, without a manicness or OCD, or the other issues sometimes associated with someone who works at the level I do. I'm really not an overly high energy person as some think, I just have a ton of unique and compelling things to do most of the time. And then I also get to enjoy chunks of complete down time. I know how fortunate it is to still be doing this, especially in this economy, so I don't take it lightly, but I do enjoy silly down time.
There have been plenty off encounters w/ females w/ a photographic interest, but I find few that truly fit into this combination of art/business/play, and that is essential to a strong and balanced relationship w/ someone who can be a co-pilot in this intriguing journey. The ideal person would have genuine integrity, profound interest and balance to this highly respected, never boring life-long pursuit filled w/ commendable accomplishments and enjoyment of the twists/turns of life as a working visual artist.
I'm light-hearted yet pleasantly serious, driven though not controlling, highly creative and humble, at times quiet, comical, a little more goofy than people expect, a Gemini, if that's important to you. Giving and receiving 1 to 2 hour massages used to be high on my list of pleasant necessities, that would be nice to find again. The physical part of a relationship is absolutely an equally beneficial part of life, You would appreciate the simple things in life that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Next up: a couple of Sonoma Wine Country publishing projects. "Looks" are important, I am a visual artist, I prefer cuter to voluptuous, less make-up than more in the day to day is ideal, I'm much more drawn to naturalness of the visual in people, and yet with all that said, nothing is set in stone, IT'S THE CONNECTION THAT IS VITAL, the past best connections have been with graphic artists and the like, professional people with a healthy combination of casual down to earthiness. Proximity is important also, long distance doesn't work that well I've found.
