Date a soulmate from United States. I like to work hard, but having fun and being social is important in my free time. I am always up for trying new things. I have great friends that can be a bit much, but are great people. I smile alot! So its not that hard to get me to laugh. I love being around positive and nice people.
I graduated with degrees in hydrology, and environmental science, and moved to Southern California to build a start up biotech company with a friend. I'm looking for someone that is easy going and good hearted.
Meet someone special from California, United States. I like to have fun and I enjoy the outdoors. I am looking for someone who like to be active and have a good time. I love going out and hanging on the weekends. I am a fast paced individual and am looking for someone who can keep up with me and is positive
Date single boy from California, United States. singer/songwriter/producer/artist/lover/ creator .....I am a good, funny, creative, loving man (silly as a kid and yet very mature - one reason I am open to a wide range of age - I'm about connection over age...who knows) looking for someone I can have a great time with - going out, talking, renting movies, dancing, walking, going to the park, museums, laughing, being ridiculous and just relaxing at home...ultimately, someone i can share both a great friendship and deep intimacy with (which i believe the best relationships come out of).
About Myself:
I live my life freely, and can get along with anyone. I am both silly and sweet, sarcastic and witty. I have my retarded moments and it's good to laugh at myself once in a while. I am still human and still make mistakes. Laughter is a daily activity, along with any type of creativity and just appreciating whatever the world has to offer. I believe in the freedom of expression, and through that comes joy and honesty...and then I can live in the moment and not in the past. I am very passionate, opimistic and deep and I bring joy and loving to the people I am with. I don't play games, I like to get down to what's present. I love learning from people and teaching myself new things.
I am looking for a fun, confident, cute/beautiful, loving woman with a sweetness and a great smile, someone who loves who she is and knows what she wants (or something like that cause that's just an ideal). Life is rarely ideal and yet, always perfect.
Meet a guy from California, United States. I'd consider myself random, creative, witty, smart, and absolutely terrible at describing myself. I'm originally from a small town in Wisconsin, having moved out here about seven years ago for employment. Coming from a small town, it's still a bit crazy from my perspective, but I think i've mostly adjusted to this area at this point. Still, what I'd give for less traffic...
I like to laugh, and to make others laugh. I don't take myself too seriously, and can be the butt of a joke (half the time, I'll turn the joke at myself anyways).
I've worked in the video game industry for almost seven years now. It was always a dream of mine growing up, and I'm very lucky to have been given a chance in the industry.
As far as what I'm looking for, it doesn't take too much to please me. I'm looking for someone who is easy to talk to, can find fun in similar activities, and will occasionally put up with one of my bad puns. I'd like to meet someone who is fun to be around. Someone who has dreams and ambitions, and encourages me towards mine.
I'm giving up for now in trying to fill this out. It's just too weird to have to type this all out instead of having a conversation.
Date men and women from United States. Laid back, but also very driven by my career. I love what I do and I want to share things with someone that respects it and has goals of their own. Love to be active when I am not at work and work never follows me home. I am very close with my family and am lucky that I have most of them here with me in California now. I am a sports fanatic so watching sports with me is a must, even if you are doing soduko while I watch. I am very open and want to date someone that is not my typical girl. I am fascinated by girls that know themselves and have a grip on their lives. That is who would compliment me right now, someone I don't have to take care of but rather be a partner with.
*You must have a sense of humor. I joke around a lot and am probably sarcastic 75% of the time. If you can dish it, EVEN BETTER. I like to laugh and so should you.
Meet single boy from United States. I'm back in L.A. after leaving at age one - spent the last year in NC and the previous 4 in the (totally not) exciting world of DC law, where I worked in and around the Supreme Court.
I'm working my dream job. Quit the legal world of DC to manage a band in NC. Two years later I'm in L.A. and enjoying what is still the beginning of a very crazy and totally unreal ride. Great music affects every person on the planet and having a material role in helping to share that experience is a dream come true.
I've been on the road the better part of the last couple years so I'm excited to finally call a place home - though also just as excited about traveling the world. I know very little about the city bu (believe)t I have a really sophisticated mexican food palate - so there's a place to start.
Beyond physical attraction, sense of humor, and intelligence - I'm most attracted to curiosity and self-awareness - when women (and people generally) are as passionate and interested about what they don't know as what they do. I'm as much interested about "why" as "what." Strong personalities welcome. I'm absolutely wrong sometimes and I'm looking for someone to call me out. Bring it.
I'm a huge sports fan and still continue to play baseball (and hockey if I can find a team). I stay active every day and would love to know some great hiking spots. Also, I unabashedly do yoga and frequently talk about my hamstrings and mention that I wish my hips were more open. I totally understand if that's a dealbreaker
Date people from United States. In all honesty, I never put much stock in these 'describe' yourself sections, not because I dont know what to put, but because do you really believe it? I mean I could put 'I'm a super outgoing, fun guys that loves to have a great time with the right person.' and if you believed that generic line then what the hell are you doing here... u should be at the bar lapping up that.
Ugh, that being said here is my 'description'.
I'm a southern guy with roots in Pasadena so I'm not one of those fish out of water. I went to college at the University of Louisville and had a great time traveling to see the teams play in the Final Four, Orange Bowl and College World Series. I find my biggest passion in life is music. There is just something amazing about the feeling you get when you hear your song, or see your band live. Music really is a powerful medium and I want a girl that will love experience that with me as well.
I love to joke and have fun, but can also talk about current events and even have philosophical/religious convos (if you can handle it..) I'm not very touchy feely in public, but will snuggle watching a movie.
After music my next obsession is sports. You name, I probably love either playing it or watching it. I want a girl that loves being athletic and that I could play sports with, run, bike, or even swim. I did the Malibu Tri last year and got addicted to biking the PCH, so I hope the girls would want to do that sometimes.
I also like to go to the beach on great weekends, so I want a girl thats not shy or afraid of the sand (I swear some are). I'm down to get to know her friends, if shes fine with hanging with mine.
Meet someone special from Santa Monica, United States. I am awesome. So would need to be too. Also, needs to love Disneyland. #justsayin.
This has to be more than 200 characters?
Once, there was an elderly man, who lived in a small fishing village in a small town, in a small part of the world. Now this man had travelled all over the world, seen all different kinds of horrors and fantasies. Beauty and disfiguration. Good and evil. Black and white - always two sides of the same coin.
Now his days were comfortably spent relaxing on his porch, listening to the waves gently lap against the thick wooden stakes that supported his house over the small outcropping of rock that it had been built upon. On certain days, the man would get out his old fishing rod, set it up over his porch, and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. On lucky days he would wake up soft, frantic tugging on his line. A fish. Such a thing was a rare occasion these days. It seemed the fish had been all but extinguished from the sea, but that didn't bother the old man much. Food was food, and when there wasn't fish, there were other ways to find lunch.
Second Day. That's what day it was when the Man set up his rod on his porch, and began to roll tobacco up into a smoke. Second day. Right into the middle of the week. There was no going back for Sixth or Seventh day. Names, the man thought. These days all used to have names, but that was so long ago now, nobody ever remembers the colorful and creative names people would dream up for anything they could think to name. Things were simpler now, people would argue. The logic was there, clear as crystal: Why bother naming something with a name, if it doesn't serve a function? And things began to recieve new names. The days of the week simply became known as First Day, Second Day, etc. There were no more brand names, no more names for zany inventions, or even childhood names or nicknames. Everything had been reduced to a number, or a very reasonable name.
The Old Man had been given a reasonable name. But he couldn't remember it, nor was it that important to the man. In his younger years, maybe, but not now. Now, all the man cared about was his porch, and his fishing rod.
Until the latter made a very sudden departure from his life.
With a wooden creak followed by a sharp crack, the Man's rod bent over the rail, and then snapped out of its holster, and vanished over the side of the porch, with a faint little plop as it disappeared into the water.
Turns out, it was aliens.
Date a soulmate from Santa Monica, United States. I'd thought I'd give the internet dating thing a shot since my parents met online in an AOL chatroom and have been happily married for the last 32 years. I thought, "hey, if it can work for them, it'll work for me". Okay--well, maybe they didn't meet online, but it was a different time then--it's the 21st century now and we do everything from taxes to ordering pizza online, so I guess this the internet is he singles bar of yesteryear. So, just to come off like a total creeper...me? 28/male/santa monica (yes--that's an AOL reference)
Sooo...what am I passionate about? Hmmmm....where to start? I guess I'll just come out and say it-- I play golf. Okay, maybe I play like 3 times a week, but ya, I'm guilty. BUT, the truth is I only got into golfing because I LOVE plaid socks and I was getting some pretty awkward looks walking around the promenade with them hiked up to my knees. I'm not a one trick pony though, I enjoy cycling, hiking and pretty much anything active or outdoors. That's not to say that I'm not totally content to spend the day lounging and the evening busting a tear while watching When Harry Met Sally and drinking a glass of wine (just don't disclose that last part to my buddies).
Who I'm Looking for...
I'm not going to limit myself here, since I think chemistry is probably the most important thing here and the internet can't exactly tell if that chemistry exists. Occupation? I don't care too much, since I don't really feel like what you do for money defines who you are as a person. What I am looking for though is someone who has passions/interests that excite them. Someone active enough to go hiking for an afternoon or go for a jog on the beach in the evening.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. Im a laid back guy who just wants to enjoy every moment of life. The way I see it the present is a present for us to unwrap.I have a good sense of humor and Im always up for an adventure.I love the beach, bicycling down the board walk, hiking or taking a trip to mammoth mountain.
Date someone special from California, United States. "How would i describe myself? Three words. Hard-working. Alpha male. Jackhammer...Merciless...Insatiable."
-Dwight Schrute
i tend to put other people before myself. case and point: i happily eat the mutant peanut m&m's. i feel nobody else will. they also have twice the peanut to chocolate ratio. it's all about what's inside.
i am the tallest person in my family, which isn't really saying much.
i don't throw the dice too much when dancing...but should i, you can bet they're coming up seven.
i love animals. a life without any sort of pet does not feel like much of a life at all. but ideally, dogs. and for some reason i tend to refer to all cute dogs as puppies, despite the age. unless they're big and arthritic. then it would just be weird.
i love my job, but entertain the idea of switching careers to either a tram tour guide at universal or a jungle cruise captain at disneyland.
ever since i discovered how to make iced coffee, i abused said knowledge.
i like volunteering for shelter dog adoption related things. if you know of a good organization, i'm all ears.
i've never fully enjoyed bazooka joe. the gum is practically a rock and by the time you begin to soften it, the flavor is lost. the comics, while i'm sure they're all gems in their own way pretty much suck a fraction less than the gum. as, well, sucky as the gum is...i kinda like it. i can't quite put my finger on why, but it is kinda nice knowing that no matter what happens, certain things will always kinda suck.
my mom says i'm a catch and my dad wonders why nobody has killed me yet.
YOU:
if you're a fun and generally positive person into live music, movies, and food-related adventures, stop reading now. you have won the right, nay, duty to email me.
Meet a boy from California, United States. Hello and welcome!
As much as it would be great to meet someone the old fashioned way, I have succumb to give this online dating thing a try. Some things you should know about me is that I'm as real as it gets out here in this crazy city. I'm witty and sarcastic, but all in good fun. I'm very athletic. I grew up playing sports my entire life. Focused on soccer in high-school and college. I'm also an avid golfer and would train to go pro if I ever won the lottery, ha! I l love music and really enjoy going to shows/concerts as well as sporting events. I consider myself a great guy - I'm genuine, honest, thoughtful, caring, personable, and fun to be around. I can also be a little shy at first, although it may not seem like it, but as you get to know me the wheels will come off and I'll eventually open up.
What else about me: I'm adventurous, I enjoy the thrill of jumping out of a plane, I don't like fast food (does in-n-out count?), I like to work out to stay in shape, I have a dog and she's pretty rad, and I'm a chill dude who is pretty much up for anything, I'm a digital advertising guy. I'm a very hard worker and it shows... on and off the field. I don't let work get too much in the way of my social life. I think it's key to know how to separate work from play. In other words, I will make time for those who I want to spend time with.
So what am I looking for? I looking for a woman to be the smoke in my lungs, the taste in my tongue, the calm before the storm, the blood in my veins, the scuff to my frame, and the flood before the rain. Of course this is all metaphorical, but I'm sure you get the point.
