Anyway, to start I’ve been in Santa Cruz county for close to 30 years, but I grew up in NYC and still have my apartment there; hey once a New Yorker always a New Yorker. I went to Fairleigh Dickenson University outside of NYC. I was in the fashion industry, owned a textile mill in North Carolina and sold nationally out of NYC. After my kids were born, I sold my business in NYC and moved to California. Since then, I’ve been in the building industry. I have also owned a restaurant and various marketing ventures, and I am now involved in an Ecommerce start up, www.artfulexplorer.com puting international visual artists of all disciplines together with international buyers. Recently I’ve gotten back to doing a lot of writing and reading, mostly mystery stuff and non-fiction related to music as well as Americana art, in the form of wooden decoys mostly from the eastern seaboard. I also play the drums with a bunch of guys when ever I get the chance. I love to carve wood mostly abstract pieces in walnut and maple. I get to the gym at least two to three times a week and I love being outside and gardening (rubbing the leaves of a vine ripened tomato between your thumb and forefinger is an elixir I cannot deny myself). I love to travel! St. Petersburg or a barge trip down the Loire River Valley is next. I also love cooking, which is why the gym is so important. I have 31 year old twin daughters, both of whom are very successful, bright, and beautiful. That’s the two of them in the photo. One is an attorney and the other is a financial adviser. The other photo is of me taken by Mr. Peabody while we were speeding through time in the “Way-back Machine” with Rocky and Bullwinkle. I have been divorced since February 2004. Spiritually, I have a medium to difficult time with formalized religion, based on the theory that not every religion’s dogma can be right, however I do believe in a higher power and all things earth-centered. Oh, one more thing about the present; I’ve been told that I’m very young for my age!!
I've been working on my new visual arts project and have not been very diligent when it comes to checking in. Not to mention how this dating online stuff is going to work, or not work for that matter. However, I'm not shy and I sure can talk better than I can type. I just figured that nothing ventured, nothing gained; I always feel that a chat is so much more meaningful, personal, and insightful than an email. So, this is me.
