Traveling is important to me; and an early retirement has allowed me to take advantage. I spend several months in the summer journeying across the West with my tent camper, with a soft spot for SW Montana. This winter I plan to journey to the Oregon coast, and hope to slip in a back country ski trip to Ostrander Hut.
There's something else you should know about me....I have a passion for fly fishing! I don't expect you to share my enthusiasm, but hopefully, you enjoy the outdoors and will tolerate an occasional "fish story".
When I'm home, I enjoy some of what the Central Coast has to offer--hiking its beaches and mountains, biking its back roads, hunting for chanterelle mushrooms, doing house and garden projects around my little bungalow, and of course spending time with friends. I’m also an aspiring duplicate bridge player; I play several times a week and attend local tournaments…..There's nothing like a good "bath coup". I'm interested in investing and finance, world affairs, and politics. I value community service, and serve on a local commission. While I’m definitely not a slow poke, I don’t usually drive in the fast lane.
I value intelligence, and the courage to stand against the tide if that's what right. If I were a sheep, I would be black. I have been accused of being a little rumpled sometimes, but I do clean up quickly and to surprisingly high standards. I have a good pedigree; I come with Mid-Western values, and graduated from a great university (those of you who are Cal Bears may disagree). I have good teeth, and know which fork to use. I can dance a mean waltz or polka, but am a little lost when it comes to western swing or salsa, although I still am willing and able to learn some new tricks.
