Philosophically I consider myself an engineer without borders, boundaries, and religion and believe in mother nature and natural beauty. It flattens the divisive (and artificial) walls among people from different culture/society. Although the nature of my profession makes me a nerd (and I am proud of it) I am a good mix of social and nerdy personality. Date single man from California, United States. I was born and raised in San Diego and spent most of my adult life there. Life in San Diego was comfortable but fairly static. Last year I decided to move to the Bay Area to make a new life for myself.
Part of the reason I decided to move to the Bay Area is that there are a lot of jobs in my field in the Bay Area. I'm a software engineer so I spend a lot of time in front of a computer, even when I'm not working. You can blame it on the internet which I find to be an endless source of information and entertainment.
I enjoy spending time both indoors and outdoors. One of my favorite things to do indoors is watch a movie. For me, watching a movie is an escape from the ordinary routine of my life. For a brief period when I'm watching a movie, I'm transported into an entirely different world which is more interesting than reality.
When I've been indoors too long, I feel the need to go out and get recharged by the rays of the sun. Just being outdoors in the sun lifts my spirits when I'm feeling down. My favorite place to go outdoors would have to be the beach. Whenever I'm at the beach, I feel at peace and all my troubles and worries melt away.

As long as your dreams are grounded in reality, you have the ability (or are willing to learn) and perseverance, nothing is out of reach. I am lucky in that I have found exactly what I want to do with my life and have had a lot of great experiences along the way. I am a Paramedic and Reserve Firefighter and feel privileged to be able to help people at the worst moments of their lives .
Here comes my adventures side. About 7 years ago, I opened a beach front restaurant and bar in South America (Ecuador), which I sold before moving back home to The Bay. All my friends thought I was crazy but It had been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. It was a really great adventure not to mention an incredible learning experience in business (My first successful company) but in cultural anthropology as well.. I also have a professional level skiing certification, spent a season as a ski instructor and it would be cool to meet a girl who is into snow sports or would like to learn.
I like to go out and being social, although can be even happier staying in, cooking dinner and having a glass of wine with my favorite people. Not to toot my own horn but I'm pretty freaking awesome at it (But seriously, have you ever met a firefighter who couldn't cook?) I'm not a social butterfly always buzzing around from group to group but I'm very social and thrive around those I care about.
I like good people, who are fun, honest (This is the most important as I try and live my life everyday with integrity even when it might be difficult to do so), intelligent, real, are drama-free (but still passionate) and unique, have a zest for life and can hold an interesting conversation. I'm also looking for a woman that knows who she is and what she wants out of life even if you're not quite their yet. We're all human and life should be a growing experience from birth to the end.

I went to grad school in NY and have been living in CA for 6 years. Love California and everything West coast has to offer but I still miss NY, so try to visit back every 6 months. There is some bond with that city which is hard to explain.. :)
