Date people from Santa Clara, United States. Who am I in a nutshell? I love to laugh. I love being outdoors - exploring, taking road trips, and hiking. I love to learn in any way possible (particularly through conversation with others unlike myself). I love wacky jokes, but delivered in a dry way. But above all, I love it when I have the opportunity to brighten someone else's day. It's so amazingly rewarding when I can bring a smile to someone's lips or to make someone laugh. I'm also something of a romantic, and I do believe in fairy tale endings.
Who am I looking for? Someone who is genuine and kind. Someone who I can surprise with flowers for no reason at all and someone with whom I can enjoy the little things in life. Someone with whom I can share the Venice Beach sunset. Someone with whom I can have a laugh with everyday. And since I love to write, someone who can inspire me to stay up late and write letters and e-mails to (you'll find I'm old fashioned like that).
To me, one of the best things in life is laughing with others, and I am always eager to converse. I try to be witty, but I suppose only those who know me can tell you if it's worked or not. I'm usually pretty good at making others laugh, although some don't catch on to my sometimes facetious and satirical sense of humor. I'm always emotionally available for others and seek to form strong connections with people I've met. I love to help others in any way, and although some may claim chivalry is dead, I do strive to live by my own sense of honor and morality. In that way I'm a bit uncompromising - some say nice guys finish last, but I would rather do things according to my sense of what's right.
I'm very open, but there's probably more to me than you'd expect. I love any sort of travel, near and far. Hence, I enjoy hiking, driving, and international travel immensely. I enjoy challenges I can gradually work towards, like running 5Ks, playing tennis, learning new languages, getting into better shape for my next Half Dome hike, improving my culinary skills, and learning miscellaneous trivia (I'm a Wikipedia addict). I also love God, spending time with friends and family, cooking, music, and intellectually stimulating books and film.
I'm a singing in the shower person, and I definitely enjoy impromptu practice in the car. Music is a big part of my life. Playing the violin gave me a keen appreciation for music, and today there's not a genre I don't appreciate (seriously, you should see what it's like when my iPod is on shuffle). I'm always looking to expand my musical skill set, and I'm currently learning guitar. I don't watch too much television (there's not usually anything too fascinating on), but I do enjoy documentaries and shows like The Colbert Report, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, and Top Gear. Some of my favorite films include Star Wars, Annie Hall, The Matrix, and The Pianist.
I could write more, but nothing beats meeting up in person. I'm always up for conversation or going to fun and beautiful places, so let me know if you're interested in spending some time and laughing until it hurts, because I'm definitely up for that. =)

Travelling is something I haven't done much of, but I am gearing up for it!
