Some say I look younger than my age, which I is a good thing I suppose. I am an easy going guy who enjoys spending time with family and friends. Food is good and I love to eat, so trying new places is always fun. Like anyone else, I love to laugh and have a good time doing just about anything. During the fall, I enjoy tailgating with friends and attending Chargers home games. I try and stay active. On the weekends, I really enjoy going to the lake for a morning run, it defnitely is a favorite part of my week. I completed my first half marathon in December and look to participate in more races this year. I also like watching movies, although most of it lately has been courtesy of Netflix. It would be nice to get out to the movie theater every now and then.
I really hope to meet someone who is caring, has a sense of humor, and likes to have fun. She should be someone who is easy to get along with. And not only with me, but with family, friends, and really just about anyone. I think a simple please and thank you goes a long way, so she should be respectful and courteous to others. I would like to meet someone sweet and thoughtful. And if that isn't enough a nice smile doesn't hurt either.

For other fun, I like ballroom dance and bowling. I like reading history and visiting historical places. I like doing things in small groups with good friends and sometimes by myself. I generally avoid events with lots of alcohol, but don't mind some wine occasionally. I enjoy talking politics, and am generally conservative, though mainly on fiscal/small government issues, not on social/religious issues. I'm not expecting that my date is going to agree with me on everything - in fact, I think it's useful to interact with people with whom you disagree in order to be better able to articulate why you think the way you do, and be ready to reevaluate your thinking when appropriate. I think healthy respect is the key. You don't mind it when it gets quiet occasionally when we're together. You do the right thing when nobody's looking.
Regarding children/family and my 'someday' response: I have an interesting life as it is and I don't walk around every day dreaming of having a family, but I do think with somebody who is really special the idea of family is appealing. It's the 'finding somebody special' that is the hard part!
