Date people from California, United States. In the past several years, I have become even more passionate about travel and what one can learn about one's self as well as others along the way. A couple of years ago I hiked 8 miles to see lava flow into the ocean in Hawaii. Within the past several years I have toured Europe as well as visiting Ecuador with family, including my grandsons. I enjoyed the Yucatan and its ruins and walked through the rain forest in Costa Rica to "catch" turtle poachers (we called ourselves poach busters) and visited Anghor Wat in Cambodia with my daughter. With friends I have visited indigenous people in Guatemala and Peru, and enjoyed the "mystery" and "majesty" of Bejing and Xian. I'm always ready to go! I like road trips in our own wonderful country tool I love the museums, bookstores, cultural events in the city, and the adventure, beauty and solitude of the wilderness.
I also can be a homebody who enjoys cooking with someone, watching a good video, playing backgammon, enjoying good conversation, being playful and hanging out.
Close to home I spend time with my family (I rode Thunder Mountain three times in a row at the urgings of my grandsons). I work out regularly, hike, and I have recently taken up the guitar. I read voraciously and am a "forever student".
I'm accepting of people as they are, and not much shocks me. I believe in making the most of life. For me, that includes a nurturing rellationship. I'm pragmatic enough to understand that compatibility, partnership, and physical attraction are essential to a good match. I'm also romantic enough to leave flowers on your doorstep, massage your sore muscles, and to plan spontaneous surprises.
