Date men and women from California, United States. I live in San Clemente... I am a sinlge father and my son lives with me full time and every other weekend with his mom. I also have twin daughters that are 18 and live in Kansas on their own. I had kids at a young age and was busy with taking care of my family. Now that all my kids are older I have the time to pretty much look out for me!
I have a job that I love.. Just following in my fathers foot steps. I spent 8 years in the Navy before that. I am respectful to those who deserve it. My thought is treat others they way you would want to be treated. So respect, love, honesty and loyalty are big on my list. If you show me love, I will give you my soul.
I have zero drama with my Ex.. We show each other total respect.
I'm just a normal guy... I love to stay active and do outdoors activities, Surf, Snowboard, Camp, Fish, Hike, Jogging, Random trips to nowhere. But I also love to just sit and relax at home. I don't frequent bars or clubs. I don't drink unless its casual... I found that alcohol can and will ruin a relationship... Not on my part!! Don't need to be drunk to have a good time, Just saying!
I play upright bass in a band. I do have tattoos, but don't care if you have them, I do not have a preference. Don't let the tattoos fool you! I can dress up and you would have never known I had them. My work also has policy against visable skin art.. Also don't judge. Tattoos are my form of expression, just like my music.
On a lighter note..... Uhem... I love to sing at the top of my lungs while cooking, driving and cleaning! I have been known to do random dance moves while grocery shopping. On occasion I will give you a kiss on the cheek and run away like a 6 year old..... Been known to be very shy... But will definitely talk your ear off. I know random useless facts, like why tigers have big white spots on the back of their ears... Ask and I'll tell you!
I work in L.A. so I drive a lot... So I don't mind meeting anyone, anywhere, if we decide to meet. Have car will travel....
Now for another serious note:

Recently, I have taken the time to start enjoying the views and sunsets. It's not a bad way to spend a quiet night, especially when you can hang with a couple buds. Light with lime. Not my first choice, but it's what I have in the fridge at the moment. I am not a big drinker but I enjoy happy hour with a friend. Sundried Tomatoes in San Clemente is a favorite spot of ours.
I grew up in the midwest, Missouri, and have lived out in the OC since 1998. I barely remember life before living in Cali, but it was a good life. Cold and humid, but good! :)
So what do I like to do... Working seem to supersede everything lately. I enjoy playing golf, working out, bike riding, playing with the kids, and hanging with friends chilling or watching a game over a couple brews.
Being a midwesterner by nature I can talk to almost anyone about anything. Communication, humor, honesty, and a willingness to grow as a person are keys to any relationship.
Always continue learning and trying to better myself. I am not perfect by any stretch, but I am not one to pass judgment on others either. I am a christian, but I'm by no means a fanatic and I fall short daily.

I have a quirky sense of humor, but am very quick, and a bit sarcastic. I read a lot, so I usually have good "current" materials, and also am comfortable in most any crowd. I manage a golf course, and recently started my own management company, so I'm busy at work, but it's a lot of fun.
I adopted a dog last summer (see photos above, haha, he's a "lab mix") and he takes me for a walk every day. We (the dog and I) live near the beach trail in San Clemente, so it's nice, great way to end the day, watching the sunset with my best friend. He's maybe not the brightest dog, (or maybe it's my training?) but he is a great dog, and despite his intimidating look, and ferocious bark, he's more likely to lick you to death.
I have a big family, and am very close to all of them. One of my nephews got me to play hockey with him in a league, (I played when I was in college) and we have a great time doing that. We also are working on restoring a 1969 Chevelle together.
I enjoy most outdoor activities, volleyball, golf, tennis, inline hockey, riding my bike, kayaking, and my motorcycle...
I'm a good cook, but usually stick to doing BBQ meals, it's less work and cleanup.
Anything else, you'll have to ask, I have a wide variety of interests.

Date single man from United States. I'm honest to a fault. I love my two kids more than I ever thought possible...but I don't expect anyone else to as much as I do. It would be a big plus, though. I love laughing, but not as much as making others laugh - I can be a complete goofball or witty and sarcastic, depending on the day. I enjoy tinkering with things. I think material belongings are temporary ways to fill voids in our lives. As such, I'm not wealthy in a financial sense, nor do I ever wish to be. If you're looking for someone to shower you with extravagance, I'm not your guy. If you want to laugh every day and feel loved, however, then I just might be. I just read "The Purpose Driven Life" and found a good portion of it very worthwhile. I've always tried to give back to the community, and think more people should. I constantly question why I was born where I was - and not somewhere else. Especially after watching the news sometimes. I'm terrified of rollercoasters. I'm very affectionate (not a Mr. Grabby-pants, but I do like holding hands, hugs, deep & meaningful kisses, and generally acting much younger than I am...at least with that special someone). I don't text too much, but love technology otherwise. I can wire a new ceiling fan, upgrade your computer's memory, or change your car's brakes. Sexy, huh? Yeah, not so much. But handy! I love movies with a twist...like Memento or Shawshank Redemption. Will Ferrell and Tina Fey are hilarious. I'm not so much into watching sports, but relationships are about compromises, aren't they? : ). Life is good...I just want to share it with someone special. Grow old together. Princess Bride-stuff...happily ever after, maybe a bit cheesy, but true.
Update1: regarding the separation - it's been over two years, paperwork is filed. Just waiting for a job w/ benefits to come through for my ex before making it final. I won't leave her without medical insurance - not after the sacrifices (her career) she made for me during marriage. It is a very amicable situation, we've chosen to behave like adults because our two kids deserve that.
