Family is most important to me (we learn this as we get older, don't we?). It's what makes my world go round. I'm hoping to meet someone who feels that same about his family.
I am one of the most loyal persons you'll meet. I will always be there for you, no matter what, in whatever capacity it is, even if it means doing something you might not like. I'm told I have a pretty good sense of humor and then again, my close friends joke about the rock I live under so I apparently have some innocence of some type floating around depending on the subject. I enjoy a Craig Ferguson type of humor and at the same time basque in laughing at clean humor (i.e., Red Skelton, Cosby, etc.)
My marriage was very much one-sided and I remained married as long as I did because I wanted to "prove everyone wrong." Those were the persons in my life that were trying to help me, and I didn't like it. I grew to know better, and I learned that a relationship cannot flourish without, above all things, integrity and humor. Yes, of course love is important, but just because someone loves someone doesn't mean they will be honest with you. Sad, but true.
I have an 18 yr old daughter I am very proud of. She is in college now. I've been told I put my life on hold for her (I probably did) but not it's "me" time..
We are a musically talented family. Most everyone sings and/or plays musical instruments and have performed (myself, daughter, brother, sister-in-law, dad). Music is a pretty big part of our lives, whether listening, dancing, performing - music is usually on most of the time in our home, be it radion, CD's, iPods, etc.
My mother who is 75 lives with us. She's in great health and a huge sports fan. My mom worked all her life for my brother and I and when she retired on a very minimum income, I didn't want to see her waste what little she saved up on paying bills, so I welcomed her into my home and it's been the "3 mujeres" ever since. Everyone who meets her loves her.
Love live performances (theatre, concerts, comedy clubs, etc.), movies, day trips. I was actually "just" introduced to wine last year ... haven't been much of a drinker in my life, but I can now appreciate a nice "red!" I also appreciate all types of music, with the exception of rap.
Not gonna lie ... am not much of a cook, although I can cook. Like to BBQ ... have gotten spoiled over the years with my Mom living with us which hasn't given me much chance to keep up the daily cooking such as when i was married. Hope you like to cook! heehee

Have 3 sons, one who was in the Army, other in the Marines and my youngest is still debating whether to join but is likely to pick the Army. He is a senior so he has another year to decide and hopefully by then will pick the Air Force (my pick) but hey it's his choice and his life. . All are fine young men and are either working fulltime or going to school. No grandkids yet but one of them might have puppies as his girlfriend has several border collies and 1 is pregnant. Read a lot of horror/scifi/fantasy novels and enjoy graphic novels. Have about 2000 books but really try to get stuff from public library to save $$. Love board games like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, and Yatzee and really enjoy them when camping as you always meet people in campgrounds who will play these games or play some badminton. Have a very good sense of humor and can definitely laugh at myself.
Love horror and really bad scifi movies and have a big collection (gore is good) of them in addition to comedy and some TV series. Like going for drives and just getting lost up in the hills-gas may be expensive but it's still cheaper and nicer to just drive around the mountains or coastline and enjoy the scenery than to hang out at the bar. Not into wine-tasting Napa style trips but I like roller coasters. Armstrong and Getty is my favorite radio show - has been for at least 10 yrs.
Not sure what I am looking for in a relationship at this time as I haven't dated for over 15 years now (by choice) as I wanted to wait until my youngest became an adult. A good choice thanks to Dr Laura! Think that I would like someone to go to the movies or to dinner with from time to time, maybe play a board game or watch a good show on TV. I am fun loving and can be witty with the right person. As many of you men have said, finding the right mate takes time but when it happens....!!!. I really want to get to know you and feel comfortable and you with me. I am a person who wears her heart on her sleeve so the chemistry is apparent (or not) right off the bat. I am not naive but sometimes overly trusting. I am not very good at hiding my excitement and my disappoints. Yea, in other words, I am sensitive but not high maintenance.

I love traveling and have done so alot in my younger years. I am hoping to be able to retire soon and make up for lost time.
One of my favs is to take weekend trips. My first choice of where to go is simple for me: Mendocino: water, beautiful scenery, great food and great B&B's if we don't feel like going anywhere.
I was fortunate to grow up racing a sailboat with my dad in the SF Bay so I do love the water. But confession #1: I'm a terrible swimmer.
Family is important to me: both yours and mine. I am not your average jealous woman (oh, I probably just made a bunch of women mad!) but my expectations of monogamy and respect are written in stone.

Date someone special from United States. Fun active lady can be found deep sea fishing or whale watching in Mexico or hiking with camera in a National Park. I also enjoy dressing up and going out to dinner or concert or can be just as comfortable at home snuggling by a cozy fire. On a rainy day I can be found watching CSI's, Mediam, Boston Legal, 4400,Dead Zone or reading a Stephen King, Dean Konontz or James Patterson book. Slow reader and sometimes like to wait until they come out in a movie. I used to horseback ride until my horses got to old. I now have a cat to keep me company and a fish pond full of big koi. I even raised them at one time but that is a whole other funny story. I am an artistic, creative lady that has dabbled in oils and does pastels and loves photography. I love to take day trips to the ocean and to the mountains with my camera but have just as much fun at home in the backyard photographing my grandchildren. I am pretty fit as I have worked out in gym for several years and try to eat a healthy diet. I haven't done much cooking being single for the last 20 years so you are saying. "But can she cook" I was recently put to the challenge and went on the internet to Cook's.com and found some amazing recipes and came up with some gourmet dinners ( that even surprised me). So the answer is yes.
I have a sense of humor and enjoy that in a man also. I am passionate, spontaneous and a romantic. One of my all time favorite movies is "Somewhere in Time" I also enjoy working and playing with my computers. I am an equal oppertunity computer owner. I own both a PC and a new Mini Mac that I am learning how to use. So if there are any Mac usesers out there I might need some help. They are suspose to be great for photography and graphic art. In my spare time now I am designing Barbie fashion dolls for collectors or Christmas tree toppers. I keep busy and recently got the nickname "Energizer Bunny" but I know how to relax and kick back and enjoy myself. I love to dance but haven't had the opportunity too much lately. Love country music, pop and American Idol. I would like to meet someone with similar interest and a few different as I am open to new and interesting ideas. But not maybe skydiving.
