I have a bachelor of fine arts degree and a master of business administration degree. I was almost finished with a second undergraduate degree in computer science when I got an offer to work in a Navy research and development laboratory. The rest, as they say, is history. I’ve been here 28 years in a number of jobs and I’ve loved every one of them.
I have the travel bug from cross country trips with my family as a child. The United States is full of amazing places, things, people, etc. and I’m sorry to say I won’t be able to experience them all before I die. My bucket list has Mississippi as my last state to visit. I can’t quit at 49.
I’ve visited relatives in Norway and England and I’ve been to Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium. Greece and Italy are on my bucket list as well. I love cruise ships! More trips to the Caribbean are on the bucket list as well.
Since much of my family still lives in ND/MN I purchased a class C motorhome to drive the family from CA to there and back. I tried to never take the same route twice. We have been to just about every National Park west of the Mississippi and a number of them east of there as well. I love living in the parks and hiking on the trails. There is so much just around the corner...
I spent my youth summers at a northern Minnesota family lake cabin. It was so wonderful I purchased the cabin two doors down from there. My mother also taught me to cook, clean, do laundry, and iron my own shirts. I changed my share of the diapers, did the homework, tucked the kids into bed, and shared my part of everything it takes to make a family.
Family is very important to me. I have two wonderful children (a 30 year old daughter & a 28 year old son), a son-in-law, and grand daughter. I couldn’t ask for any better.

I enjoy fishing and view it as a bonus to being outdoors. I like finding places I haven't been to or seen before. Road trips are great as there are still a lot of places I haven't seen or visited. I really enjoy NASCAR, drag racing and any and all forms of motorsports. I was involved with street/hot rods for a very long time and enjoy going to any car show. Smooth jazz is my favorite type of music but I also enjoy blues and good old R&R. I can and do enjoy participating in activities other than "guy" things. I enjoy flea markets, swapmeets, & antique shopping. Kids (grown) and grandkids are very important to me and play a big part of my life and would hope yours do too. It would have to be someone that enjoys outdoor activites such as camping, fishing, hiking, exploring, 4-wheeling, national/regional parks and investigating out of the way and off the beaten path places. Someone that is honest and is comfortable with herself and knows who she is. A person that doesn't mind some traveling and has a somewhat adventurous spirit. There are still a lot places left to be seen. Doesn't mind just hanging out sometimes. An added bonus would be if she tolerates and even possibly enjoys some of the same activities as I do.
