I've raised a great couple of kids,started some cool businesses, owned a few homes, lived around the country,have a great loving family and group of friends and I am hoping to spend a lot of time smiling with an optimistic, active companion. I enjoy outside activities and working-out in the gym. I play tennis, bike and ski. With the exception of Friday I spend an hour working out each day during the week. On the weekends I typically bike ride or play tennis. During the weekend evening hours I'll dine out, go to a movie, jazz concert or a play. I also pay close attention to my diet. I especially avoid processed foods and foods containing saturated fats. Although I pay close attention to my diet I really enjoy cooking. For me cooking is both artistic and scientific. My favorite TV shows are Bobby Flay's Throwdown and Iron Chef America. A dream for me, is to travel to each major tennis tournament. Those include the US Open, Wimbledon, The French Open and The Australian Open. I would also like to attend the Tour De France bike race. I would like to meet a woman to share my experiences. I would also like to share in hers. I really like my life; having someone with whom to share it would be icing on the cake. My list of requirements in a significant other is not very long. I need honesty, commitment, good health and physically active. I am not going to spend time discussing the deeper meaing of relationships, the type of person I am looking for or precisely who I am. I stopped asking myself should relationships start as friendships or romantically. The longer I live the more questions I have. I really don't know much. If I did I would not be on an on-line dating service. I suspose that is why my list of requirements, for a potential mate, is so short. The one thing I think I know is most of the time spent with a person is not while traveling, playing tennis or participating in some other hobbie. Most of it is spent doing next to nothing (those quiet times). How and why relationships work is a mystery to me. They remind me of a Woody Allen story where he visits his psychiatrist.
Woody : Doc. I am not here for me; I'm here for my brother. He is crazy. He thinks he is a chicken.
Psychiatrist: Well if he is crazy and he really thinks he is a chicken, why don't to turn him in? Why don't have him committed?.

For me, relationships can be a little crazy but they work when lovers are content together during quiet times, satisfied during passionate times and always affectionate. They are worth the investment.
