I am very lucky to come from a great family with whom I am very close. I am also fortunate to have longevity genes. And I am healthy. So, my biological age is probably about 35 or so. I can fit into the same clothes I wore when I was 20 to 30s. However, everything in life seems easier to me now than when I was younger. I have lived a rather purpose driven life. Let's face it guys: I'm 49 years old - I've been married. I've had kids. I'm no stranger to relationships. I've been dealt some not-so-good hands. I have to admit: I'm not very good at judging character. But now that I've been through the wringer a few times, I've gotten to the point where I'm going to be pretty picky. My children are grown, as of this writing, they are 22, 25 and 29. I also have a grandson who is almost 3 and a granddaughter who was just born in February. My oldest son lives in Colorado with his wife and kids, so I don't really get to spend a lot of time with him, which saddens me greatly. My middle son lives in the foothills with his wife, and I get to see him a little, but not as much as I would like! My daughter recently moved back in with me (temporarily!!) - so I'm really enjoying having her around. But they have their own lives, so I must allow them to pursue their dreams and not get in their way. I'd really prefer that if you have children that they be grown up as well - or at least pretty close to being adults. There can be a lot of problems with the "step-mother" dynamic and I'm not really interested in being step-mom to anybody's children. Not that I don't like children - of course I do. But I'm all done with raising children and you should be, too.
