Date people from Pittsburg, United States. When I was told that I have a malignant tumor, my thought was o my god I am going to die. I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. I was 20 years old. Followed was clinical trial of 8-month four-drug combination 18 rounds of chemotherapy that was supposed to be in an 18 months stretch, and surgeries. In addition, spending three months in a spica cast made the treatment like living hell. These were the dark days of my life but also brought me clarity of self-discovery and overwhelming love that changed my life forever.
Today I feel more joyful and passionate about life than I ever was before. Cancer can be ugly, but so much of my journey was beautiful. Friends and family who sleeps on a chair by your hospital bed are beautiful. Doctors and nurses who became your best friends are beautiful. Patience who refuses to give up are beautiful. Bald is beautiful. And, Sharon Blynn is beautiful.
