I've been to Europe twice (though not recently) and I lived and worked in Britain for six months. I still have friends in Britain with whom I keep in contact and whom I see when they come to the United States. I enjoy car/tent camping in the desert (Joshua Tree and the Mojave Desert generally) and in the Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley. On these trips, I like to hike and fish.
I am reasonably fit for my age and very active, though I am not a slave to an exercise regimen. On weekends, I'm usually gardening or landscaping, working on my vintage cars and bicycles, or doing projects around the house. I'm handy with home repairs and don't mind tackling those kinds of projects myself. I don't spend my free time laying around watching television or surfing the internet.

I have a 27 year old son who my heart. He lives in Illinois where he is in University studing to be a mechanical engineer. We went the pilot route to start with (that was a mistake) and now he is finally realizing that an education and career are very important to be content and able to do what you like to do (like flying) in addition to a profession that one is passionate about.
