I enjoy all the stereotypical stuff that PhD's like (general science, astronomy, psychology, political philosophy, etc.), but I also think it's important to be well-rounded. I think a few telling details are always interesting, so here are a few about me: I read comics (of the type found in newspapers, and some web-specific ones) on my computer daily. I have solid nerd bona fides (all those years with the other math/science folk), so yes I know a fair bit about Star Trek, and yes I enjoy humor based around advanced mathematics, geology, physics, and computer science. I often take the stairs, even when escalators or elevators are available.
What am I looking for? I don’t believe it can be put in a list; chemistry has too many complex interactions to put into bullet points. Perhaps I can suggest a few things, though.
