It's my first time on a site like this. Not sure it's me but I don't have a problem trying new things. So let's just say I'm testing the waters right now. I'm not into the bar scene etc., so this might be a much better way to meet a nice, caring compassionate woman. My photos are current so I hope yours are too. First impressions are meaningful and you are either attracted to someone initially, physically, or you're not. The rest is much more important once you meet. I love humor and feel that a grasp of the comic side of life is fundamental to a long joyous life. Club Med is my idea of a great, stress free vacation to unwind. I love to explore beautiful areas and look forward to visiting many of the national parks in this country with someone special. I also enjoy health spas and natural springs. I love good food and for me a healthy diet with organic food is part of the norm. I meditate and do a little yoga. Dogs are necessary for my existence and I just got a new one now. She is Zsa Zsa. There is a good reason for her name. An interesting story if you want to hear it just ask. I got her from the pound. She is a little love bug, a Poodle Lhasa mix. Her picture came out pretty good. She is jet black except for a Lao Tzu gray beard. My picture on this page appears a little blurry but I am usually pretty focused. I really would like to do a lot of traveling in the next few years. I am interested in seeing natural wonders and historical sites. I am especially interested in the Celtic culture. I would love to see the old ruins in France, England and Ireland. There are some great tours available and I would like to have a companion to do this with. Part of the last five years I spent with my aging Mother. I bought a house for her in the desert to live with me instead of going to a home. Unfortunately she had a stroke so the last six months of her life were spent in the health care system-nursing homes and hospitals. It was not a very pleasant experience to say the least. Now I am wanting to travel and see the world. I still have some ambitions to write books and contribute positively to the planet. I am open to living in other areas as long as they are a paradise. After having lived in a desert I can see myself in the sun and with the good vibes of the feel good places of the earth. SF would be an exception. Looking back at my life I think finding the perfect match is really a lot easier than one thinks. Many of the women I knew where perfect in their own way. It is just a matter of focusing on the perfection instead of the imperfection. I could have been happy with any of them. I think the very concept of a perfect match as this box asks for gets people into trouble. We start to look for something that is in our imagination and depending on how good your imagination is you may get lost in it. So I do not think I am going to describe a perfect match. Did you ever notice that every dog you get from the pound is the perfect dog? Maybe someone is trying to tell us something.

I have been playing tennis since high school, and try to play at least three times a week. If I don't play tennis, I go for a walk early in the morning. I moved to Sun City Palm Desert a few months ago. Life is really good here. I'm making some wonderful new friends. Perfection would be having the right fellow with whom to share this wonderful life.
An important part of my life is my talent at the piano, and my involvement with the performing arts, especially theater. It would be great if the man in my life were to at least appreciate those things even if he didn't have much experience with them.
I am better at expressing my feelings at the piano than in words. There is a wonderful Leonard Bernstein quote about music which says it all for me: "...once in a while we have feelings so deep and so special that we have no words for them and thatРІР‚в„ўs where music is so marvelous; because music names them for us, only in notes instead of in words..." I'd like to find that special man that no words can adequately describe.
Some of the things I like to do are: traveling (last year I went to Africa on a photo safari); visiting museums; classical music and jazz concerts; ballroom dancing; sailing, and boating in general (I've owned a sailboat); exploring nature; reading; laughing!
I try to stay healthy by exercising regularly and eating well. I never eat fast food and rarely even eat packaged foods from the supermarket.

I have a small dog that is very special to me and I have taken her many places. Her name is Belle Amour (Bella). She makes me laugh and it's important that you like animals.
