Date a soulmate from California, United States. I enjoy camping, being anywhere near water - even own a fishing pole, and have caught a 20 lb salmon on the American River; but I'd rather just be near any kind of water, with the pole leaning up against something comfortable. The ocean heals me, although my last visit was in the fall, and a bit of too foggy to enjoy - slightly inland was absolutely perfect though. I love to cook, to read, to converse about things monumental and trivial. I love to travel - day trips or longer, and enjoy going places I've never been. Life on the back of a motorcycle has been a constant in my life, and while I can live without it, I'd rather not...even if it's only occasionally.
I love animals, and while dogs are forever loving, I have two cats because I can wuzzle them up, throw food and water at them and leave them for a few days without harm. They give me the business when I get home. but like dogs, they are forever faithful.
My ideal match it someone playful with a sense of humor - self depreciating at the same time - I certainly am. Honesty is paramount, and best friends are even better. That being said, some of this is from an old profile, and the one thing that I have been unable to update is my age. I'm not 49 anymore - I'm 53, and proud of it. If that's offensive, I genuinely apologize. The pictures are within the last six months.
I'd rather start as friends and work forward - friends are always good to have, and a great place to start. At this age, we all have baggage, it's how we store it that matters.
I'm not always an 'uptown girl' but there are times that its appealing - I am, however, a girlie girl. I like being feminine, and take pride in how I look. Conversely, I am just as comfortable in shorts, a tank top, and slippers (flip flops), as I am in heels.
Sunsets/sunrises and BBQs are some of my favorite things, as are quiet conversations on the patio with candle light. I love my quiet time, but can kick my heals up with the best of them. I love genuine arts and crafts, love to be crafty myself, although I have gotten away from it for a while.
While I like nice things, I am not materialistic - stuff is still stuff, and unless it's a family heirloom, or the gift of a child, it doesn't mean much at the end of the day.
