I am somewhat “old fashion” and traditional when it comes to my perspective on life and relationships and I consider myself a gentleman. I try to always treat people with respect and courtesy. I get great satisfaction out of doing things for other people especially that “special” person in my life. I have been told that I spoil my daughter (now 21) but I have a good reason for that……good discussion topic for the future. I enjoy backyard barbeques and family gatherings and cooking.
I always try to find the humor in everyday life (always plenty of it out there if you pay attention) and I think I am pretty easy going. I have a difficult time staying angry at anyone it’s just not worth the effort. I think romance is important in a relationship and I like making my partner feel special and do those little things that make for lasting memories.
As far as recreational activates, I really love the mountains and any lush green forest but anytime I can be out “in nature” I’m happy but I also enjoy a nice B & B. Being a California native I, of course, really like the beach. In my younger days I did a lot of surfing but now spend most of my ocean time under the water scuba diving. It would be great if I could find someone to share that with but not necessary. I have to admit I am also somewhat of a “car guy”. I use to restore old cars for fun, mainly British sports cars and enjoy a good car show now and then. I really like the British Top Gear show and catch it whenever possible.
I am not really into watching sports, it’s kind of boring but I never turn down the opportunity to participate in any type of activity. I am originally from Southern California and really like it here (except the freeways) but I would consider moving if I could be in a mountain type setting.

Disneyland when the crowds are few, one of my very favorite things to do in the winter months. People watching while sitting on a park bench makes you wonder what were they thinking when they stepped out in that getup. I would also like to explore the US, roadtrips here I come, camera packed, check. Learning to take better pictures, filling this site with the wonders I encounter. Next are beach and cliff shots and possibly a higher power camera.
Love my garden, provides me with the ability to make my own sauces and herbed delites.

Independent, but need that sholder to cry on when I get emotional about those animal commercials, just can't imagine how cruel someone could be. Must love dogs. Unconditional love is the best...Always discovering new music, latest is Il Volo even though I don't understand all the words of a foriegn language their sound is wonderful. Hate drama, not good for the soul.. Looking for that captivating smile, athletic in some sort of way, no couch potatoes, occasionally that can happen though as a good movie(s) and lots of suggling can keep us there. Looking for someone that knows communication, honesty and respect are important in any relationship. Sharing thoughts, ideas, that special touch, holding hands. Meet men and women from Orange, United States. I enjoy spending time at home. I always have a project or two which I am working and each one makes my home warm and lovely. It has been awhile since I have taken a vacation beyond 3 time zones and frankly travel isn't high on my priority list. I have been fortunate enough to have lived in Europe for almost a year and made many trips abroad during my 20's and 30's. Therefore given a week off or so I would much rather enjoy myself without having to lose a couple of days getting to and from the destination. However, given more than 1 week ... let's go!
I enjoy being outdoors immensely! I love the water but unfortunately I get seasick so it's sad to say I gravitate only towards fresh water. (I did own a sailboat at one point and gave it a real go!).
I am extremely active while working around the house (my garden), walking my dogs and working out at the gym about 5 days a week. I find the gym a great stress relief, especially after sitting in an office for over 8 hours a day. Plus the workout keeps me in shape. I play tennis, racquetball and am just learning to play golf. I also enjoy watching football and basketball although I record the games and will watch them late in evening so I can fast forward through the commercials. I rarely watch a game during it's scheduled time because if the sun is out I am too.
I did my undergraduate work at CSULB, University of Copenhagen and graduated from CSUF. I have my MBA and I work as an accountant (Controller). I prefer someone who has their bachelors degree but I can appreciate a successful entrepreneur who may have received their education through experience.
I don't take myself to seriously and I thoroughly enjoy looking at the humorous side of life. I am by nature an optimistic person and will always look for the good in others. I am looking for someone who also enjoys being outdoors, who likes to stay active and stay in shape. My hope is to find someone who is intelligent, successful, playful and seeks physical intimacy. Since I work a regular 40 hour workweek (sometimes more), I would prefer to find a match who also works a similar schedule.
