Meet someone special from California, United States. MY PICS ARE ALL RECENT. In June, '01 I retired from a high stress job with a world famous biotech pharmaceutical co. in So. S.F.. Shortly thereafter I moved to Oakdale, in the Central Valley. That move was quite an adventure, since I didn't know anybody over there. I make friends very easily, so I was not at all concerned about that. I have two 40-something grown kids who both live in the S.F. Bay Area. Each has one child. I'm divorced, have a nice circle of friends; and an active and enjoyable lifestyle. I belong to a gym where I enjoy swimming and doing strength building work on the machines. I go the gym almost every day. I am trim and fit. I would like to meet a nice gentleman with whom I share a few common interests. I enjoy attending plays, musical programs, movies, and meeting for a casual meal with great conversation, watching pro football Sundays on TV, and MNF. I am a big pro tennis fan, and watch most of the coverage on the 4 slam events every year. Since I live only 2 hrs from S.F., I enjoy going over there for the day to take in an art show, a matinee of a broadway show, a Giants game, a 49-ers game, etc. I have no pets, so I don't have to rush home to let Fifi out. I am light-hearted, and especially enjoy the company of a man with a great sense of humor. My politics are very liberal, so I would not be interested in anybody right of center.
I am not suspicious, jealous, or clingy, and don't want to be with a man who has any of those traits. I want a man who is self confident, self sufficient and independent. If romance were to grow from an initial friendship, that would be very nice. If the most that came from our meeting was a friendship, I would value that as well. I've done an enormous amount of int'l travel in the past 25 years, and have no interest in doing any more for many reasons. However, I do enjoy day trips. My idea of a perfect first date would be meet for coffee and possibly a light meal, check out the conversation, and take it from there.
