I grew up in San Diego but moved to Los Angeles to finish up my degree. I've been single for a bit now and I'm okay with it but I'd much rather prefer to share my accomplishments and life's little pleasure's with someone. I suppose I miss the simple little things about having someone there. Something really small like cooking "her" a small breakfast before I leave for work or falling asleep on the couch with the tv on after an eventful weekend out and about.
Finding someone of quality and who is down to earth is near impossible in a club or bar but it seems like it's the only social spot people my age flock to. I've done that scene and really I don't like picking up on people or having fake conversations.
In my opinion you can't put into words the chemistry that naturally occurs between two people. If it's there then it is but if it isn't then you made a new friend and you hope that one day you'll find "the one." I suppose I'm a hopeless romantic at heart. I'm not too sure what my type is, I just know what isn't from past experiences.
As for me I'm a firm believer that life is what you make of it and I'm forever the optimist. Sure life may not always be exactly how you want it to be but it's how you respond that'll determine how it affects you. There's beauty and enjoyment in everything that life has to offer. You just have to learn to see it.
I made a resolution for 2012 and moving forward to experience as much as I can and say yes more often. It's been one hell of a ride. From concerts, Coachella, dj-ing, new hobbies, new friends, new foods, and new experiences it's been one of the best decisions that I've made for myself.
