Meet someone special from California, United States. Hi. I'm Joanie. I was widowed in 2008. As of now, I'm in quest of a Best Friend first - and then whatever might come next. I will always treasure my years with my husband; but life truly does go on, and I'm ready to move forward. This is not just yet another Flowery, Drippy, Exaggerated profile to easily attract attention. It is the TRUTH as I live it.
I'm an Intelligent People Person, Great Sense of Humor, And Respectful Of All Things Respectful. I enjoy going to movies, restaurants, getaways, etc.; however, having friends to my home for dinner becomes a memorable experience for me, and probably for you too. By the way, I'm a great cook! I'm a professional entertainer: Singer/Songwriter, Trumpet Player, and Bandleader. I've had from duos to 18-piece big bands. Our repertoire spans the 1920's to present -- minus Acid, Punk, Heavy Metal and Rap. Sorry 'bout that. I speak French, Greek, pretty good Yiddish, Pig Latin, and a little English. I sing in 21 different languages. I'm an artist in pencil and oils, and I've had some of my poetry published.
Born in Harlem, I lived in The Bronx for a while, then lived in New Jersey until moving to North Hollywood, CA in 1995.
What are you looking for in a partner?
I am open to a man who REALLY believes in the Golden Rule, and then, PRACTICES IT! And, he should be someone who respects himself as much as his lady. Now, that's a twist, isn't it? But that's how I feel.
