Date someone special from California, United States. I say you just have to a have tougher mental capacity to fight and get back up when you get knocked down.( and you will get knocked down, a lot!!!) But then you can truly be better and improve yourself and those around you, because your battle tested. I choose the nice guy. :).
Okay here it goes I don't like doing this but this is me:I am a throwback old fashioned guy who believes in chivalry and that love and communication will conquer it all! I come from a family that is very strong and supportive.I am patient yet fearless and a hard worker with a heart full of desire. I am happy, confident and proud of what I have achieved and I love being silly around friends. I surround myself with honest, loyal, fun and friendly people. I am very sporty and love to stay active and try various sports as well. I dream of traveling as much of the world as I can. and experiencing all the world has to offer. I don't know what tomorrow brings but I will give 100 percent of what I have at this moment right now because it may be my last chance.
You: I a woman who is confident who she is and wants some sense of adventure( not just staying in a comfort zone but is willing to try new things) That being said it would be someone who can roll with the punches that life throws and can smile and know everything is going to be alright! So down to earth and ready for the next challenge. Someone who will challenge me in a loving way so we will get the best out of one another, because I will ;). It may seem like a lot and I am not saying you have to be all these things, because you never know until you really meet a person but know I will fight for the woman I loves honor always upholding it before mine.
So just send a reply.
Meet a soulmate from Normal Heights, United States. Words tend to not adequately describe my quirkiness and sense of humor, it's a must experience sort of thing; so I will forgo the list of standardized adjectives and keep it simple: I'm a good, caring man who loves to make you laugh, hold you when you need to be held, give advice when you want it, or listen if that is all you really need. Certainly sensitive but brooding enough to keep you guessing. I especially like to make you a meal that brings a huge smile to your face. Cooking is a way of expressing my affection, it is a way of showing that I care about understanding you, your likes and dislikes, and putting that in action by making your favorite foods or creating new favorites.
My career requires that I workout and teach people how to care for themselves through nutrition and exercise, which I enjoy thoroughly, especially the life's little and sometimes large triumphs I get to experience with my clients. As a Director at an Integrative Wellness Center, my life and work tend to move towards the same pursuits; a healthy and a full life. I try to enjoy everything I do, even when things get stressful. Like most people in Santa Cruz I love the beach, surfing, riding a cruiser or my road bike on those frequent, gorgeous days we get. I'm very open and honest and look for the same in the people I choose to be around. I'd love to meet a girl that is beautiful, athletic and health conscious. I really like to spend lots of time with the girl I'm with; cooking, going for walks, or just sitting in the sun on the beach and running into the water to catch a wave from time to time.
I enjoy the company of inquisitive, bubbly people who recognize the needs of others around them. Also I find myself very attracted to thoughtful, caring, well intentioned, women who are intellectual and outgoing. Confidence and communication are a must because I have a big personality that needs to be balanced with someone that also has the same energy and love for life in general. Basically, I've found that there is a lot of distrust in relationships in Santa Cruz/Bay Area, the women I have dated tended to have a series of walls built up that needed to be carefully brought down before I actually get to the real person/personality inside if I ever did really reach that place. I'd like to find a quicker way through those walls and get to the good stuff, the mutual trust and understanding and especially the goofy stuff.
Huge points for me are people that love the water; I enjoy lakes but it's hard to take me out of the ocean. An intellectually sharp wit is truly endearing as well as a strong desire for knowledge. I'm always on the lookout for someone who will go backpacking with me and not freak-out when they finally figure out that we really are in the middle of nowhere. I enjoy spontaneity and I love that quality in others.
If you can cook that is a another bonus, but I don't cook well with others. I tend to kick everyone out of the kitchen but if you can't just sit back and have a glass of wine while I treat you to meal, I'm sure I can learn to be more inclusive. I take care of everyone, whether it's meals, advice, workout programs, nutrition, or just someone to talk to; I'd love to find someone who can be that person for me as well as me being there for them, taking care of each other equally.
One of my favorite things to do is spontaneously drive down the coast and hit all of the literary landmarks, Tor House (Robinson Jeffers), The Steinbeck Museum, The Henry Miller Library and finally finish it off with a glass of wine at Nepenthe. That is a great day and I'm not just saying it because I think it is what a woman would want to hear. I'm not even sure if many people would find it as fun as I do but as far as descriptions go, if that sort of thing really does interest you then we might get along famously.

Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I am looking for someone similar to me in a lot of ways. I like to travel and experience different cultures and food. I love good beer, great wine, cooking, hiking, going out all night with friends or staying in and watching a movie. I am independent and like my time alone but equally love my friends and spending time with them.
My sense of humor is on the witty and sarcastic side but I can take it as much as I can dish it out. I can be competitive and I am always up for a board game with friends which I will surely win:)
Music is a big part of my life and I enjoy live music, either playing or watching. I'm a musician and own a music teaching business. I teach private music lessons for a living. My job feels like hardly a job and for the past 12 years I've been able to play music all day and inspire my students which I love. I'm driven about my work but like to get away from it too.
I hope to meet someone on here to eventually end up in a long term relationship with. If that doesn't happen at least make some new friends along the way.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. The romanticized notion that a man and a woman meet, discover they are soul mates, and smoothly sail into a lasting bliss is bland even for fairy tales. Romance epics always include the drama of setbacks----love stacked against insurmountable obstacles----that fade by requisite happy ending. Boy meets girl is nearly always followed by boy loses girl. This story line fits the cliche' that the course of true love never runs smooth.
