About me, I suppose I am a bit of an old fashioned girl... family is important to me, living a healthy life style, keeping active and fit, and trying to make a difference in the world for the better. I enjoy a cozy evening cuddled up at home with a great home cooked meal, as much as getting dressed up for a night out on the town. I love to travel and explore places I've never been, its exciting, there is so much to see and its fun to be a bit adventurous. There are so many beautiful places in the world I have yet to visit. I would like to experience different parts of Asia as well as Latin America and Europe. I'm lucky I have summers off so that is usually when I do a little traveling, many times through home exchanges where a family will come and live in my home while I go and live in theirs for a few weeks. Its fun getting to know people this way and also very comfortable. I usually travel with my daughter. Last summer I was in the jungles of Guatemala. I've lived abroad in Chile and Spain and am fluent in Spanish, but I am not a native speaker. My mom is European, so my upbringing was strongly influenced that way, of course a love of the arts, opera, theater, symphonies, the ballet and museums. I love classic jazz, but lots of other types of music too. The smooth tones of Billy Holiday, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Buble are some of my favorites. What type of music do you like? As far as movies go, I like foreign films as their plots seem to be more interesting at times, but I watch mainstream movies as well. I don't watch tv, but in my free time I enjoy hiking and camping, skiing, gardening and home improvement jobs, great restaurants and wine tasting, I prefer reds, though I'm not a purist. Reading a great novel, bird watching, and photography are also great past times. A great day for me, is one that is spent out doors.
I have a wonderful life style and so much to share with the right person once we find each other.
As for what I am looking for in a man, I suppose I'm rather open to different physical characteristics. What woman doesn't admire a man with a great athletic body, gorgeous eyes and sexy smile? But what really attracts me the most is intelligence, class and style. Also, a great sense of humor is important to weather life's sometimes bumpy road. I am very attracted to a man with experience and maturity who can handle any situation, but also that boyish charm, that playful nature that makes a man irrisistable. I'd like to find a guy who is a good communicator, able to not only express himself and his feelings, without fear or anger that he is less of a man for doing so, but he's also got to be willing to listen. He's got to show compassion for others and be some one I can respect and admire. Ideally, my man knows what he wants for himself and has gone after it, he's already established in his career and is at a point where he's got time to invest in a great relationship and build something that will be lasting. He's not looking to rush into a permanent situation with me, nor does he move like stagnant pond water waiting for me to make the first move. We go with the flow, together.
