Meet men and women from California, United States. Active, athletic, fit, trim, and happy. That pretty much describes me and if those same words apply to you then I'd like to meet you. Boy would I like to meet you!
I enjoy swimming, biking, and running, sometimes in that exact order one after the other. And in the last few years I seem to have been bitten by the bug known as ultra-distance trail running. I also enjoy walking and hiking, ocean/lake kayaking, inline skating, and more. Indoors, I find pleasure in a good movie, play, concert, or game of Scrabble, as well as thoughtful conversation. Ballroom dancing is also fun but I'm way, way out of practice. And I'm a pretty avid reader of books. You know, those old-fashioned things with paper pages that you turn by hand. (Okay, call me a Luddite!)
Of course I must admit to some quirks. I whistle, usually a fairly recognizable rendition of whatever oldies, country, or classical melody happens to be in my head. Sometimes I'll even break out in a song, regardless of whether or not a shower is involved. When taking a road trip I always try to get at least a little bit lost, knowing that the real joy comes not by reaching a destination but by discovering unexpected pleasures along the way. (And when I'm really lost I *will* stop and ask for directions. Honest. Call it a defective Y chromosome or something.) Finally, although I hope you won't consider these to be objectionable quirks: I'll open doors for you. I'll help you with your coat. When we walk together I'll hold your hand or put my arm around you.
My profile lists my real age even though that may mean I don't make the cut on somebody's search filter. And I look exactly like my pictures. (Hmmm ... so I hope you're not looking for the dark Latin-lover type or the barrel-chested bear type, cuz that's not me!)
So how about you? You're self-confident, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and take pleasure in staying active both physically and mentally. You look forward to being with a special someone but also value time apart to pursue your own interests.
