I'm a Software engineer, a bit of a futurist and I read a lot, especially scientific literature, so I tend to use big words because that's what I rub shoulders with, but I balance it with a good dose of silly, sometimes at work but definitely at home...or at the beach. If we are banging into each other on our boogie-boards in the salty ocean waves, I'll likely scream enthusiastically like a little girl. (kids love me). I bob up and down if the music is good (this tends to happen in the car at the beginning of a road trip). I embarrass kids sometimes, but the younger ones still enjoy it. Also I have a lot of "kids" toys like skateboard, kite, frisbee...and I have discovered the best way to toboggan down a snowy mountain. I like making life fun. Or maybe life likes making me fun (deep huh). I'm not high-powered and restless, just simple, a gregarious person still wanting to "come out and play". Under all this (or on top?) I have a solid foundation, straight-laced ethics, financially responsible, and even an anti-consumer (but in a practical way). I'm not complicated, I haven't accumulated baggage, I'm still a kid at heart, open and free-spirited, but I do need a lot of down time for introspection and to recharge and I hope you will make the hammock one of our favorite places to be together...where I can listen to your ideas.
I'm not afraid of having ideas, big and small, some are impractical, some are fun, some silly, some transformative, some green, some shiny. Take my ceramic mud hut idea for example ;) but don't worry, I'll only build one after exhaustive "modeling and simulation" and your smile of approval. I'm an inspirational sort of guy and enjoy explaining things in a fun way. I love listening to inspirational speakers like TED talks. I might do something like that someday, sharing with people my ideas about sustainable yet fun ways of living. I like simple beauty. I've reseached a lot of farming techniques around the world and examined their many ways of building homes and huts. My dream is to develop a primitive solution that is beautiful, warm and inviting, with curves you want to touch and lighting that beacons in the distance, the mellow amber hues through the large window inviting you home. I've done some small projects, but my next one will be a small farm and home from scratch. I'm good at designing spaces, but it takes a lot of meditation mixed with some good science. My friends ask me to design their spaces and my neighbors are perplexed at how I can make things look so beautiful, and sometimes don't believe that I made it, but I'm used to it by now. My photography teacher in high school accused me of hiring a professional (if he only knew how poor we were living 6 people in a bus down by the river).
I like spending time at home but I need to get out from under the roof often, if only to the hammock. I like having some regular spots, like my favorite beach, but otherwise I try not to go to the same place twice (mostly nature stuff). I was doing survivor-man before there was a show. Not to try to prove anything, but just because it does make your pack lighter and it's fun ;) When I was a kid my father would drop me off up river. Of course he would worry about me, especially if I wasn't back the next day, but he was a Zen sort of man, able to love and let go, a groove I myself found early on, which even got better recently with The Power of Now, a simple yet powerful message to live less in the past and future and to live right now in this small split second called now...not irresponsibly though. It is in that small moment, that is happening constantly, where you find true life and inspiration, for everything from family to work...

If you were to ask the people who know and work with me, they’ll tell you that I'm a nice guy. That I am giving, genuine, honest, hard-working, and funny with a dry and often sarcastic sense of humor. They’ll also tell you that I’m very warm hearted and family oriented and love my two kids (ages 12 and 16) with my whole heart. I also believe in commitment and integrity. And to be honest, to me, this all sounds rather boring…but trust me, there’s a devilish imp inside me as well. My interest and taste in all things is eclectic. For example, in music I range from Modern to Country & Western to Classical…basically everything. While I love achievers…I don’t want someone in constant motion. While you're off trying to win every competition there is...you might just find out your life and love has past you by. I prefer balanced women who work hard and play hard. I want someone who knows when to buckle down and get the tough stuff done no matte how longs it’s going to take...but knows when to kick up their feet and relax and play hooky from time to time!
Last, I am not into the “fashion and makeup” types. You know…those women who refuse to leave the house unless they're all done up and dressed to the nines. Those women who always have to wear the latest fashion and have two closets stuffed full of nothing to wear. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy dressing up to go out on special occasions and I love how stunning women look with their hair, nails and make-up done right. It’s just that I’ve always had a soft spot for barefooted tomboys. Women who are comfortable and confident enough with their looks to not worry about wearing make-up, and can wear raggedy jeans with a T-shirt and barefeet. And yet, they’ll still look gorgeous beyond compare because their unpretentious nature and confidence and inner beauty radiates outwards for all to admire…especially me! And I am serious about the being able to run around barefoot. I’m not slovenly and keep myself well groomed, but I personally hate wearing shoes and spend most of my time barefoot and in shorts and wear flip-flops only when necessary…so if that might bother you, I’m not the person for you. Anyway…care to get your soles dirty with me?!

I have been known to redesign automobile car emission systems on my lunch break, making them more efficient while combating our increasing global warming dilemma. I write instructions for gadgets in five languages for a world renown company, write award-winning concertos and manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row or swim the peninsula just under 1 hour. (1)
I mesmerize men with my sensuous, angelic voice, which pales to my bassoon playing. Which I've made a small fortune off of because I learned before birth to learn something that nobody else can do as well as me. I can be athletic too. I pilot rollerblades up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook ten minute, Minute Rice in just under five minutes and wearing only an apron...(AMAZING), agree?
I'm an expert in mosaic design and production, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in the bedroom-oops, I mean Tahiti! Using a jar of honey, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the African Bush from a ferocious colony of killer bees. I play rap harp, was scouted by Playboy, and I am the subject of numerous biographies. Whatta (CHIC)! In my spare time I build suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after work, I repair electrical appliances free of charge. Volunteer Work Rocks!
Children, mine, the community's, and probably yours too, love and adore me. I think it's because I see them so perfectly untainted that it would be cruel to not let them be who they are. But, they will tell you it's because I can hurl a tennis racket (AT) small moving objects with deadly accuracy while doing a head stand on a teacup. Go figure.
Now for the big (YAW-HOO): I once read Paradise Lost, The Bible, and Cien Anos de Soledad in one day and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room floor that evening. Did I mention that I manage time efficiently? I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket. I was responsible for making all the Home Depots, Targets, etc. adopt the same floor plan across the continent. I invented GPS--but it was originally GPSL. You'll have to ask what that stands for.
I have performed several covert operations for the DMV. I sleep once a week: when I do sleep, I have vivid dreams of YOU! And I do mean VIVID! While on vacation in the South of France, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small lingerie store.
The laws of physics do not apply to me. I balance, I weave, I dance, I FROLIC, and my bills are all PAID! On weekends, to relax, I like to create pleasurable memories. Is a wink really necessary here?
I have won numerous contests: underwater map folding off the Great Barrier, cliff-diving off the UK Dover's, and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Juliet, passed for Jennifer, performed a heart transplant, and I have spoken with Elvis, but not yet with Jesus. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I have not met YOU! I'm too busy to look under every rock for my ideal mate, and much too smart to visit every drinking establishment to find MY LOVE. And, Life is always too short for anyone who isn't dying to BE MY LOVE!
Oh, I can't forget, YOU.....I have only a few essentials: you look your age with lots of hair loss and the remaining is turning grey, you'll walk 500 miles, then 500 more, just to be the man who walked 1000 miles to fall down at my door, and you can't and won't contain yourself when you see me!
