Date someone special from Montecito, United States. "I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."
— Audrey Hepburn
Admittedly, I am a bit odd. Self-sufficient enough to travel the world alone, I recognize that it would be more fun with a romantic partner. But, as much as I would love to feel the champagne bubbles of lust and romance flittering through my veins, I am not willing to settle for anything less than a full and equal partnership. So I will continue to travel to heart-meltingly romantic places alone, if need be. I will admire the world's beauty, weep at some of its inequities and harshness, and wonder what it would be like to share the intense moments of joy and sorrow with a man whose heart connected with mine.
Optimally, I would like to find a companion/friend/lover who is honorable and honest, self-aware, compassionate, intelligent, curious, and funny (I have a great fondness for puns, supposedly the lowest form of humor)-- someone young enough to play and be silly, but mature, responsible, and well-established enough to have moved, as I have, from the "getting" stage of life into "giving." I would like to find a man who loves books, classical music, big hairy animals, and can tolerate small children, as I am very much looking forward to the day when I will be a grandmother. My dreams would become reality if this man were to love me, with all my quirks and foibles, my fiercely independent streak, my aging face and body, my childlike spirit, and my tender heart. It would be ideal if he could also like my terrible poetry, but that might be asking too much... I will happily settle for a lot of long, slow kisses.
In return, I offer laughter, loyalty, and love beyond measure.
