Date someone special from California, United States. To start off, my name is David, I moved back to California from Ny a few months ago after a few unfortunate circumstances.. Right now I am in a transitional period of my life and looking for some positive change in my life. I spent close to 5 years in the Army, learned a lot of great things and got to meet some of the best people I have ever known. My enlistment included 2 deployments, one to Iraq in September 2007- November 2008, and another to Afghanistan from April 2010- March 2011.. Each deployments was an experience full of negatives and positives, mostly all learning experiences and how much people should cherish their lives because at any moment it can be taken from us..I was also stationed out of Germany and then in NY.. Right now my goal is to finish my degree in Criminal Justice so that I can push towards a law enforcement job, mainly a sheriffs department job or border patrol.. I enjoy the simple things in life, I have learned to not take everything so serious, also to stop and smell the roses everyone and a while. I have had a few set backs recently that has opened my eyes more to the world and has made me a much better person. Sometimes we don't always make the right choices, but it's important to learn from the bad choices and move on from them.
I'd like to think I am a good person with a big heart, and thinks of others before my self, I also like helping people as much as I can, type of person that I would give someone the shirt off my back. Very outdoors type of person, playing soccer was my passion growing up, going fishing, camping, going to the beach, or just going to Frisco to walk around for the day. Or I can be content with staying in and watching movies is also fine with me. I love to laugh, always try to find something to laugh and smile about.. but all in good fun of course, not in others expense :).. I go to the Gym almost everyday for an hour or two, mainly to help clear my head and fill good mentally and physically. I just moved back to Modesto in June 2011 to help out with the family company. Before that I went to undergrad in LA and worked as a tax consultant in SF for 3 years. SF has to be one of the greatest cities on earth and I really miss it, but I visit my friends there really often!
I would like to date someone who has the ability to laugh and truly appreciate my sense of humor. I'm a pretty silly and fun guy and I think it's important for whomever I date to enjoy it. This isn't to say I'm not able to be serious, because I'm very ambitious with my career and I'm a hopeless romantic at heart (I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoy a good chick flick), but I think it's very important for one to be able to relax and enjoy life, especially with those they care about.
