Meet someone special from Menlo Park, United States. Hmmmm......I have a healthy skepticism about finding the right woman online. Are there any good women out there? I'm beginning to wonder. It doesn't help that the Internet can turn people into a commodity and dating rituals into a defense mechanism. Often, the first meeting is more like a job interview. One misstep and it's back to the database. It's too easy to go back and change search filters. For the record, I'm not like that. Though there haven't been that many, I openly approach every meeting with time honored intuition and not a check list.
I'm looking for good chemistry and a good connection. If it's not pushing fate too much, then perhaps serendipity.
I am adventurous, love to travel, taste fine wine, enjoy nice dinners with good conversation and great company. I like sports, but I'm not a sports fanatic. (No kidding.) I'm not addicted to anything, except perhaps coffee in the morning. I love movies of nearly every kind. (Movie critic, of sorts. A bit of a snob, but learned appreciation for fantasy adventure by delighting in the wide-eyed innocence on my daughters' faces countless times in a movie theatre.) I believe in interdependence and passion. I am looking for a woman who shares at least an equal amount of both - or at least a good appreciation for it. She should enjoy having a good time as well as endowed with a reasonable level of emotional intelligence. A huge plus would be a woman who is open to trying new things, open minded, and who is comfortable in her own skin.
Someone told me the secret to happiness is to find a woman who is a good friend and companion. A woman with whom you crave intimacy – and a woman that loves life's simple adventures. Just make sure those three women never meet! Ha! Ok, said for humor. The reality is, I'm looking for all of those rolled into one. If you're out there, I'm looking for you.

I've travelled around the country and parts of the world, love learning new things and trying them out, and volunteering where I can make a difference and help people. My college roommate and longtime bet friend says I should mention my "dry wit" and "tight buns". I'm looking for someone who has a big heart, is open minded, a great kisser, and reads. Books! yes Books!
I'd like to find a great friend and companion to share hearts and minds, supper and ice cream, concerts and conversation, TV at home and movies out, all kinds of road trips, hikes, and San Francisco outings.
You've probably got undergrad and grad degrees, have travelled, and are a musician or artist or writer, perhaps along with a day job.... Definitely you're a lively thinker, and active non-couch potato. Well, except for reading and the occasional Borgias marathon. :)
Please email me rather than winking. What is that winking business? btw, my photos are from April of this year. I'll post a couple more soon.
