Date single man from United States. Hello, and thank you for visiting me here at Match.com!
I am here to attract the best possible companion, given my inherent gifts and limitations.
My match is someone who is smart, funny, and sexy. She sees the humor in life. She has nothing wrong with her whatsoever...;p
In short, I am looking for a woman who is comfortable with me being comfortable with her being equally comfortable in JEANS AND FLIP FLOPS on the one hand, and HIGH HEELS AND A LITTLE BLACK DRESS on the other, as long as that doesn’t interfere with her ability to enjoy a moonlit walk on the beach, with the important caveat that if I don’t accept her giant furry friend-slash-roommate, then there may be trouble brewing ahead for us. Added props for anyone who is not vehemently opposed to a weekend in the WINE COUNTRY! Lastly, she probably never saw herself on an online dating site, but here she goes (tee hee)!!
Here is some more information about me, presented in a convenient yes/no format....
Yes: Radiohead
No: Creed
Yes: The Big Lebowski
No: Lord of the Rings
Yes: The Wire
No: Reality TV
Yes: Nick Hornby
No: Trilogies from Sweden involving an unattractive, pathological goth chick and a bunch of other trite characters engaging in clipped, boring dialogue; a tedious story line punctuated by preposterous twists of plot; and (inexplicably) several technology product placements.

Date people from United States. Persist, smile, and never give up.
When I was growing up, I was a gymnast, and I experienced many injuries, setbacks, low points, etc. My mom was my biggest supporter when I was down. She's super positive. She' d say, "Something good will happen next - you just have to look for it." Her spirit is contagious, and she's an amazing person. For that matter, both of my parents are amazing - they are intellectual and read and discuss everything. I suppose some of that trickled down to me. I'm enthralled with the mind and intellectual curiosities. There's something about cognitive wheels turning - you know, a unique and curious thinker - someone who uses witty methods to make me laugh, who ponders various topics and subjects, and who loves to learn new things.
It happened after I went back to school, a light switch went on. All of a sudden, I wanted to learn and learn and learn. Now, I just got a job with a healthcare company. I'm so excited! My role is managing client services and working with the CEO on business projects. On the side, I also write and edit for hire, and I have clients I work with on their writing. As a writer, I have a few of my own manuscripts that will some day get out to the public - currently writing a non-fiction sports book for girls. Fairly recently, I wrote an article on a bioengineering professor at Stanford, and I co-authored a chapter in a sport psych book for Masters students. Both projects were intriguing, and I loved working on them.
My foundation for hard work and dedication came from gymnastics. I trained with a great sense of commitment - couldn't help it, my family is simply competitive so I jumped on board. I earned a scholarship to college, our team won NCAA championships, and we even met Pres. Reagan in the Oval Office - all amazing experiences. Great coaches, beer on the weekends, and yes, hard work paid off.
I want to continue to grow and learn and be my best self. It would be wonderful to meet someone who wants the same thing.
For a partner? I like having a buddy to do things with, swap massages, cook together, kiss till our lips wear out. I'm excited to find my best friend and sexy man (...did I just say that?) . I also enjoy the ocean and all of nature. They make me feel peaceful and happy. And arts and culture - I LOVE going to the city to explore museums, neighborhoods, parks, and cafes.
I'm attracted to a sporty-intellectual kind of guy - maybe you read various publications and like to discuss human and world affairs. If you are empathetic, humble, and compassionate, and patient, I love that. I also just want to feel comfortable with you. In quiet moments, I know you will listen to me and I can trust you with my personal thoughts and feelings. I can curl up in your arms, simply breathe, and be tender. .
On the flip side, there are times to be silly - like piggyback rides and water fights. Dancing in our underwear - or no underwear...!
I have a big heart and looking forward to meeting a great guy who will enhance my life. With lots of affection.
Finally, kids, I have three who visit from time to time - they smart, athletic, and fun, and they make me smile.
Note: I like to receive emails, not winks. I want to hear your 'voice' and what's on your mind.
