I just returned from Iraq, having served with the State Department as a Development Officer for two plus years basking in 140 degree heat, living in a shipping container and contending with camel spiders big enough to throw a saddle on. I’m a man of many talents large and small, ranging from my varied experiences, in the ER as an RN, and with EMS on the streets of Austin TX, to my athletic prowess in the ocean and on dry land. Prior to completing my emergency medical education as a Paramedic and RN, I owned a successful construction and remodeling business, and still love to create things with my hands. Although I don't NEED to get my hands dirty, I still enjoy creative woodworking, and will do all types of household repairs as well, just for the fun of it. You name it, I can fix it, and can build almost anything from the ground up, including homes, remodeling projects and room additions. I'm mechanically inclined and love to do my own car repairs as needed (on occasion that is)
I work hard and play harder, through interventions at work that save lives, to playing in the ocean while surfing, scuba diving, sailing, swimming or skiing. I also love the mountains as an accomplished snow boarder, but have trouble keeping up with my son. I was a tri-athlete for many years and still enjoy riding my bike along the coast or swimming in the ocean or running along the beach between Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica. Not only have I spent a lifetime exploring emergency medicine as an ER RN, in many ERs around the country, but also as a Senior Paramedic/RN with Austin EMS. I’m also a certified massage therapist. I discovered many years ago that massage in many cases, can be as healing as other more invasive procedures, and I do the best deep myo-fascial release work around.
I’m kind, compassionate, caring and considerate, loving, honest, and totally committed and dedicated to the woman I love.
