Date men and women from United States. I would describe myself as unconventional, smart, positive, liberal and fun. A kind person and an adventurer, something of a hip hippie, I guess. A little crazy. I get excited about life and what's ahead.
I grew up in Southern California after moving around a lot as a kid (not military), then moved to Boston (met future husband) and then to NYC. And back to LA. We had a good life for 15 years, and a great family.
And I remember now how tough it is to meet people who are smart, interesting and FUN -- so here goes...
I still have a great life, a big life, and a civil relationship with my ex.
I love my kids and my friends. We go camping, to concerts (including COACHELLA and Outside Lands) and dancing. We love to cook, eat and drink. Alot. I am a rower, paddler and hiker and want to do more of that. (I have two girls, 16 and 19, those are photos of them and my friends camping...) I have a creative, good job that is sometimes insane.
I'm not a wimp.
What to say about who I'm looking for? Someone to hang out with, laugh with, love. Dance with, have that breathless feeling when I see you. Get you. Have you get me.
My dream man? He's bold. He's social and funny, in good shape. He can be bald or have hair (long is good). He's creative, he is DIFFERENT. Must love music (especially rock and roll), reading, food, kids, OH YEAH dogs and cats. He can talk and kiss. He's optimistic and romantic. Curiosity and communication are essential. He is willing to risk being out here in the world and doesn't mind the messiest of life
I'm pretty much like all that, too. I believe in love and affection, and want a lover (THAT'S WHY I'M HERE). You don't have to be exactly like me, but not interested in changing me. I'm 57 and still have long hair and wear eyeliner.
I think a man and woman can be together and still be who they are -- you just have to talk about it, be honest, courageous and be kind.
But I am looking forward to DOING things with somebody who I look forward to seeing. Enough of being in gorgeous interesting romantic places and situations without romance. The list is too familiar and long but I like to do lots of things (except maybe shoot guns and play golf) but mainly I want that buzz of excitement, lust, love.
I'm ready.
