Meet men and women from California, United States. I am a warm, witty, workout woman, who wants to share her life with a kindred spirit. Spontaneous, and optimistic . . . my wine glass is always half full. I am a people lover, my friends are many, varied, and dear to me. An adventurous lady who still has a lot to explore. A dual identity: captivated by the mountains and enchanted by the city. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and a grown daughter who is also one of my dearest friends. My prince charming would be a thoughtful confidante, lover, and playmate who is flexible, fun and full of energy. I am looking for a generous partner, who enjoys giving back to others as much as I do.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. THIS IS CHALLENGING...
How would I describe myself? With a bit of help from friends and family, this is what I came with:
vibrant, sensitive, honest, intelligent, empathetic, diligent, funny. I'm sure I (and my friends) could come up with some less complimentary adjectives, but I will focus on the positive for now!
I am a native San Franciscan, but spent several years on the East Coast during high school and after college. I love New York, and have many good friends back there, but the Bay Area is tough to beat for living. I have lived in Marin for the past 25 years - I love the scenic beauty and easy access to outdoor activities. I returned to work in SF 15 years ago, after taking a 10 year break to raise two (amazingly wonderful!) children. What I value most in my life are my relationships with friends and family. I treasure my relationships with my two adult children and am grateful to have them in my life. Most days, I love my job (I have been an estate planning paralegal in one form or another since graduating from college), and am proud of my accomplishments professionally, although I hope to cut back at some point in the near future!
On days off, ideally I like a combination of exercise and relaxation. For exercise, I go to the gym regularly, hike and (attempt to..) play golf. I played tennis competitively for many years but am now a convert to golf! For relaxation, I love dining out, with good wine and conversation, going to the movies or the theatre, or simply relaxing at home with a good book. I have been in a book group for 25 years which has made for great friends and great discussions.
I have always said that I "love to travel" and hope to test that in the future. I traveled extensively in Europe before I was married and had kids (including a trip to Russia in 1963!) and I aspire to do more now. Both of my children went to college on the East Coast, and my daughter now lives in New Zealand, where I've visited 5 times in 5 years it seems that is where my vacation time and money has gone.
As far as local spots, Lake Tahoe is my "geographic soul mate"! I spent all my summers there growing up and still gather there with my extended family. It brings me peace and serenity being on the Lake, or hiking in the mountains, or even wobbling on a paddle board!
"What I am looking for in a Match" is more difficult to articulate. I actually would like to find someone whose interests are different from mine so that we could expand each other's horizons. He would need to share the same values - family, friends, honesty and openness to personal growth at our stage in life, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. No one at our age is "baggage free", but I believe that baggage can evolve into wisdom with the help of a good attitude! Chemistry is of ultimate importance, of course, and that is impossible to assess without meeting. Hope to hear from you!
