Continued on in Seattle, reminisced with cousins about summers in the San JuanРІР‚в„ўs and quoted lines from Uncle Buck and Tommy Boy.
Visited the Seattle Science Center because that's where I first fell in love with physics. Bill Nye the Science guy was indeed my first crush. Went up to Crystal Mountain because the skiing and the mountain are amazing. Family reminded me of the time I jumped off the chair. Not amazing. I was 11.
Saw a Game at my alma mater WSU. It rained. The entire time. Took a moment of silence for the Charger Fans as they got our alumni Ryan Leaf in the draft. Shed a single tear. Could have been the rain.
Flew to San Francisco because I love San Francisco and itРІР‚в„ўs the closest place the Seahawks played. Was fearful of Raider fans but as we were losing, they bought me beer. New respect given to Raider fans. Saw them push over a port a potty. Respect taken back.
Drove to San Diego, saw the Seahawks beat the Chargers in preseason. Saw the salute to the military. Impressed. Heard a Charger fan whine. Not impressed.
Saw Mariners play Angels.10 feet from Ichiro. Didn't notice we lost.
Went to the Beach, often. Corona Del Mar: stingray swam between my feet. Laguna:dolphins. San Clemente: rescued by an 18 year old lifeguard: embarrassed.
Flew to Colorado to hike and raft. Climbed 7300 feet. Pretty sure I was going to die from lack of oxygen. Hiked the whole thing, albeit slowly. Vomited discreetly in bushes.
Saw Stevie Wonder at Hollywood bowl. Fantastic. Saw Coldplay: Impressed. Def Leppard: Still Rock. Reo Speedwagon: shockingly good. Billy Idol: Shockingly fit. Heart & Blondie: Shockingly strong vocals. 30 seconds to Mars: shockingly pink mohawk. Britain's finest: best Beatles tribute band. Pink FloydРІР‚в„ўs the Wall: tied for favorite with Muse who I drove to Phoenix to see.
My one regret? I haven't traveled much in the world. Those are my favorite stories to hear.
