Date someone special from Laguna Woods, United States. It's impossible to describe the kind of woman I am looking for. People are different. I've been married twice, each marriage lasting over fifteen years, and each of the women were quite different from each other. The last one ended about ten years ago. Both of them were honest, fun to be with and good companions. We both tried to set good examples for our children.
Personally I'm a survivor of the sixties who, most of the time, dresses casually and enjoys being both responsible and lazy in the desert, city, mountains and seashore. I like listening to the news and most kinds of music. I enjoy long distance travel or short
weekend trips to beautiful and/or interesting locations.
I would love to meet a companion who is fun-loving, serious, unconventional at appropriate times and attractive. Both of us should support each other in attempting to find pleasure and contentment in this very interesting world.
I'm a retired high school history and psychology teacher. I loved it and was rather successful at reaching out to my students. An Emmy award winning producer made an educational movie about me using one of my techniques in the classroom that showed in colleges and on TV stations all over the country.
I've somewhat replaced these good feelings I got from teaching by becoming a "stand up" storyteller to adult audiences. I enjoy listening to the fascinating stories other people tell me about their lives. And people seem to love listening to stories about my life.
I have travelled a lot in the past. I've been around the world a couple of times living and working in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. I was a teacher of children in Africa and a teacher of adults in Japan. I've worked in factories in Germany, on the docks in Holland, selling paintings in Scandinavia, worked on a farm in Israel and washed dishes in a lot of places! I often tell people that, while I grew up in L.A. and have been to the Taj Mahal I've never been to the Grand Canyon. Actually I've seen very little of the USA.
At one time I owned a Lazy Daze motorhome. The RV experience was a lot of fun and I would enjoy doing it more.
During all this time I somehow managed to help raise two beautiful children, one who is a research scientist and the other who plays the drums in a rock and roll band.
I do have one problem. I look, sound and act the age I stated but I am a bit older. As far as my personality is concerned, I guess I'm a sort of sensitive person, assertive when necessary, who cares about people young and old and has a positive outlook on life. And, on Match.com, I'm looking for my last lifetime match. Any suggestions?
