Though I always wanted to start my own family, I Think I’ve finally come to the conclusion that It’s too late for me. I did spend 15 yrs. raising 3 stepsons, 1 step daughter, so I have some idea what it’s like. I helped guide them through many troubles and they’re all doing fairly well now and would do most anything for me, but it’s still not the same as having my own,since the youngest was already 10 when I arrived. How am I doing after all that you wonder? Well I did reluctantly decide to let an investment property go cheap, ouch! when I determined that the profits I had planned just wouldn’t be there with the economy having been sabotaged. At this point I’d be happy to just get with someone who would like to live in a life style that has some semblance of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness in a peaceful setting where I could regenerate my own artwork and perform any kind of personal assistance needed by anyone of any age. I’m a very agreeable companion in many ways, would make a great househusband (don’t mind cleaning house, etc.) Or I can, and have been a great caretaker or personal assistant. I’m very sexual but have never been promiscuous. Haven’t had but a handful of girlfriends, (not into men) Last one couldn’t stand it out here in Boonies so left to be with her grown children, ironic ’cause I got the house for them. Have you heard the true story of the mountain gorilla Titus? Well, mine is in some ways the same only instead of the highest coldest mountain it’s the hot, barren high desert. In his case he waited until all but the very faithful and dedicated wandered down and away. In my case, though it took a few years, I found that there were none dedicated enough to stay. Not that I blame them, who’d want to be out there unless they had good reason. I’m very open to starting anew, My elders have all lived active lives into their 90’s, mom still bowls regularly, Uncle had a novel published, I’m in great shape and eager to share.

I love to read. I can devour an entertaining detective story and also savor a great novel. Most of the non-fiction I read is spiritual, philosophical and introspective, like Eckhart Tolle. I'm very interested in the nature of being, and what makes people tick.
Of course, I want to find that special person--a sweet, smart, soulful man--but IРІР‚в„ўm in no hurry. I'd like a friend to go out with to movies and restaurants. LetРІР‚в„ўs start with some coffee and conversation.
