Date a man from Laguna Beach, United States. I find the whole exercise of meeting a person off the internet a facinating exercise .. it's never a waste of time for me .. and I want to make this site a changing process ..
The main photo was taken November 2010 at Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
Actually I had a photo of this fat guy without a shirt and a cigarette and thought that people would find it funny but I realized that most ladies thought that was a picture of me! They talk a great game about sense of humor etc but tend to click off before they find that it is not me! I have moved the photo off the main page!
At the risk of sticking my "foot in my mouth" which I have done few times in my life I would like to share some of my thoughts .. not to criticize anyone but to show who I am ..
My opinion is that women are much more "specific" about how a guy should look physically and as such will tend to "eliminate" a guy quickly becased on the photos or race or whatever. It's interesting .. a friend of mine who's been married for well over 10 years to a guy that she met in internet told me, "If he had his photo on the site I would have never met him. I would have, just, eliminated him!" ..
Of course when I see someone that only want to meet a Caucasian that let's me out .. something beyond my control .. BUT I AM convinced that I am Italian inside .. just a minor mistake in the manufacturing process!
I know you will have the same complaint .. but my biggest complaint is .. how come the women I meet in person do not look anything like their photos? Then I dealize that they maybe be saying the same thing about me!
But I do have hair .. 30 inch waste .. and I like a good Cuban cigar!
I know that most people are on this site to meet that someone special for romantic reasons .. I am on the site to, just, meet good people .. someone that I will Like .. and if it leads to something more permanent .. fine .. but I value friendships greatly.
My advice to women on the site .. turn over as many pages as you can to see what's on the other side .. I have so many women friends who's had bad experiences with guys because they went for the "chemistry" of the site! Even before they met!
I like having female friends over males because I find that, generally, females have a higher degree of integrity than men and do not have the ego problems that we have.
If you post a photo with sun glasses please remember that you are hiding a big portion of your face ( the window to your soul?) hiding the most intriguing part of you ..
If I see a site with sixteen photos I wonder about the vanity of the person .. maye I am just jealous because I have difficulty finding, even, few photos of me that looks good ..
I love golf, traveling and reading. I am looking for someone who keeps in good shape .. enjoying golf is a huge plus .. likes to travel and is not judgmental about other cultures .. adventurous in trying different foods .. like to read ..
If the picture that you posted is very old or does not REALLY look like you then how can we start any kind of a relationship, including friendship, that starts on a misleading start?
Winks .. when I was 21 years old I went to Biloxi, Mississippi for a convention. I was in the casino across the street from my hotel and a "lady of the evening" looked over and gave me a wink .. Iran straight back to my room and locked the door! I still react the same way to winks!
