I'm from Portland but I have also lived in the desert for a few years. I am not desperate to find the "love of my life"....just interested in finding fun friends here in the desert...if it's more than that...it's called destiny....and I'm not in charge.
My friends are trying to get me to write a book about my life encounters, but I'm afraid my adult children would read it. I've taken my oil painting supplies out of storage, but have yet to follow in Van Gogh's footsteps...which means I have both ears at this juncture. My life career was in the advertising agency business. I'm semi-retired...I think I'd like a part time business so I'm also looking for another small business to start or buy...besides dabbling in real estate. Too much time on my hands. The sunshine here is fabulous, so every day is a gift....especially after you've lived in the rains of the NW.
I have a quick caustic wit and a reasonable command of the English language. I don't suffer fools but I try to see the best in people...I hope. I had to laugh when one lady suggested my profile was more like a resume than a match posting. She's probably right.
I don't know that I have an "ideal" match. Whether it's a "match" is not as important as it is to connect, create and enjoy new friends. I confess...."crusing" thru match searches is pretty entertaining and worth the price of admission.
PS Can anyone tell me why people post photos of their pets, plants and exotic places? I suspect most people on Match.com aren't interested in dating a dog nor an exotic place. But that's just me..... Yes, my puppies are in there...but not alone.
