I have loved living in Calfornia since 1989 and went from southern CA for 10 years to Sonoma County since 1999. I have a wonderful group of friends with whom we have shared many trips and family events from births to graduations. I have two children - a 16 year old boy, junior in highschool and a 19 year old girl, sophmore away at college in Washington. I treasure my close friends and also love my time on my own to meet new friends and explore new places. I am fun and easy-going and quite tolerant of shortcomings - I know I am not perfect, so don't expect you to be. After all, we don't get to be 50-something without some kind of "baggage", AKA life experience! I have learned to embrace mine and learn from it, moved on from the bad stuff, and am hopeful for more good stuff. I am optimistic (glass is almost full) and "solution oriented" - if it's not perfect, we can try to figure out a way to work around it...if not actually fix it! I am very close to my 27-year-old daughter (who lives in San Francisco), and I am also a dog lover (currently I have a border collie/golden retriever mix). I like sports too! Hockey especially, and football and baseball. I like movies, cooking, taking the dog down to the beach, festivals and fairs, farmer's market, etc, etc, etc...

From the little day to day things like cooking a meal, planting a garden to bigger things like traveling or taking on building projects. Family is very important to me. My children and their families all live close by and I spend time with most of them regularly. I have a small but intimate group of friends in this area as well. I spent many unforgettable and wonderful years wrapped up in raising children. They have been launched for many years. Once the youngest was past returning home for summers, I trusted my gut and moved to Alaska where I loved life under the midnight sun and even enjoyed the darkest days of winter for 5 plus years. Have returned to CA in the last 18 months to be close to an impressive group of 6 grand children (all 4 and under!). I enjoy being Nana but...see my opening statement...
