I moved from Colorado to California in August to complete a surgical residency and become a board-certified surgeon. Prior to Colorado, I lived in Missouri for a year and the Caribbean for 7 years. I have been on the move for a long time as travel provides an amazing feeling of freedom and pushes you out of your comfort zone resulting in personal growth. I have been fortunate to visit most of the US, many of the Caribbean islands, Central and South America, Europe and Africa. I have been able to make many incredible friends along the way, experience love and loss, and develop maturity. Friends and family are the true measure of ones wealth, which makes me a very rich man.
Outside of vet med, I love music and have played in a few bands. When not working, I prefer to be surfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping or just being outdoors (running, swimming). My favorite camping trip was a month long safari in Tanzania finished off by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Yoga is awesome and I should have started it 15 years ago.
