Date a soulmate from United States. Ok... I think my fish may not be in this pool, but if you are, let me know, because I think I am cutting bait. In the course of working on a project tonight, I just finished talking with a gentleman who lost his wife of many years recently, and it was so clearly evident how much he loved her. That is what I would love to have and love to give. I have done the giving, and it's not something any one person can do on their own. There needs to be two, both willing and both doing. Spiritually, I believe there needs to be three.
I am very down to earth, honest, adventerous, compassionate, responsible, friendly with a dry sense of humor and open hearted. Although opposites may attract, I am looking for someone pretty similar at least where values are concerned. Actually, the possibilities of what the future holds for me as a single person with no limits intrigues me, but there is growing part of me that wants to find someone very special to share these experiences and expand my life through being a part of his. Right now, I love, love, love being a mom , but with an older teen, I am having increasingly more time on my own. I know the sad day when he leaves for college will come sooner than I would like, so I am starting the transition into my next phase in life. I just know for now I would like to meet some one to start a friendship with during the times my teen is spreading his wings (i.e. driving to activities on his own). Someone who has a meaningful life, who is fun to be with, likes to learn new things, and is open to new friendships. Most of the details about interests are not that important to me. Oh, and I would love a ballroom dancing partner to practice the steps my son and I have been learning. If we have interests in common (I love racquetsports, photography, hiking, animals, skiing, hanging out with my friends, playing music with and listening to others play, eating good food and am a pretty decent cook by necessity, discussing interesting books and ideas, volunteering to help others, gardening, running, biking, looking at and trying to do art, etc.) then great, we can share some of these interests together. If not, maybe we can share something new with each other.
Among my "musts" for me to believe we won't be setting ourselves up for heartbreak down the road... someone who is honest, has integrity, shares my faith or is actively pursuing truth, is free from addictions, and is able to participate in a reciprocal relationship. I notice a lot of people are focused primarily on having fun. That's a wonderful part of life, but not my primary focus. I volunteer to help girls recover from exploitation, so anyone really into erotica will not be a match for me. It's a tough topic and having fun and a good laugh does help me balance it all out. Right now, I get a ton of laughs with my son and enjoy some good friends, but would love to have someone with whom I can enjoy doing things every now and then, currently, and increasingly more in the future.
P.S. If you previously caught my typo.... "animals skiing" with no comma, I have not figured that one out yet, but would love to know if someone out there has. Running with me is pretty much the highlight of my dog's day, so I can only imagine what she would think of skiing with me! Our new cat, well, I think he would probably just give me a piece of his mind the whole way down...

Is this weird, or is it just me? Wait ... don't answer that:) Okay. Here goes!!! I'm extremely young at heart and LOVE to laugh. Yep! That's all I came up with on my own in regards to the question "describe yourself". I told you I thought this was weird. Okay, different, very different. So ..... my next step was to defer to a few close friends for their honest opinion/description of me. Letting them know of course our friendship was on the line :) :) :) Here was the bottom line: "She is committed in all things, determined, loyal, honest, spontaneous, loving, awesome friend, happy, spiritual, calm, passionate, great mother, extremely fun to be with and comical". One friend said I was even mind blowing at times. No worries, We're still friends:) WOW! I want to meet myself - ha!
Another question generated was "What am I looking for" - I think I can answer this one on my own ............. "As I walked into a room and our eyes met, your heart skips a beat, we smile at each other and just for a moment, time stands still, A sense of not being able to breathe". Yes!!!!!!!!! That's what I'm looking for ....................... I'm looking for a man who has integrity. A honest, sincere, down to earth - laugh at himself and life, type of guy. A man who can appreciate a hard day at "the job" coupled with the appreciation/importance of "down-time". A man who is sincere in his intentions, who understands a womens touch and can respond in same. A passionate man!! A respectful man; both for himself and others. A confident man. A man who kindly accepts others opinions yet who stands firm on his own values. A man who cares deeply. A man who opens a car door for a women not because he should, not to make himself look good, not to make a good impression ...., rather because it is a part of him! I'm looking for a good man. Humor is an excellent quality .............. R.I.G.H.T. ?? :) :) I think the bottom line is we are all "here" for the same reason. Maybe just described in different ways. "Just wanta feel tickeled pink and proud (a smile, almost a grin) when I see my man across the room and KNOW he feels the same about me"!
That saying, I'm extremely passionate and treasure many things: My children, good friends, sunsets, rainbows, beauty of nature, a good laugh and cry; joy! A soft cool breeze on a hot summer day. Music, dancing, competitive sports and an awesome love story. AND so much more!! I have a few favorite sayings. The first one is "Attitude and Gratitude"; there is always a siver lining in all things even if we can't see it at the time and I feel being grateful for even the smallest things is imperative and can fill your heart. My second favorite saying is "Win with Grace" If I need/must succeed or compete in any area, I choose to do it with a fight yet also with a humble grace.
