Wow, I’ve been away for a while and have decided to give this another chance.
First things first, I have two boys who I truly enjoy doing things both with and for. They are now 18 and 16 and I am about to send the first one off to college. They are a never-ending source of both headaches and joy for me.
With the demands that children bring, along with trying to find a balance in your day-to-day life, you quickly realize to prioritize and not really worry about the little things. There will be plenty of days in the future to catch up on those little things (if you find they were really that important in the first place). Fortunately I am a pretty easygoing person.
As they are now growing older, part of my focus is slowly shifting back in my direction. My favorite outdoor things are usually centered around the water. The beach, ocean, bonfires, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, as well as the usual outdoor activities (camping, skiing, …). Love to entertain and have friends over for bbq’s around the pool or whatever. In the evenings I love to go out to dinner, a movie, dancing (I love to dance), maybe a blanket…wine…whatever at the beach, or maybe at home outside by (or in) the pool (especially when it’s dark out). Weekend getaways for the two of us are always fun too!! Even an over niter away from but close to home can be fun.
I am big on balance. I believe that both the world and its inhabitants have some issues that are in need of working on both a local as well as a global scale. I believe in trying to help with these issues, but I attack them in moderation.
The woman I’d like to find would need to find most of the above attractive, be able to live for today, plan for tomorrow, be able to accept the kid thing, and be able to break loose and be adventurous. A little female influence for the boys would be nice but is not a must. I am not looking for a replacement mother for them.
