I am a 63 years young, healthy, fit and active single man, who loves to have fun (you may want to term it “getting in touch with my inner child”) and who truly enjoys the very British humorous side of life.
Honesty, kindness, sincerity, consciousness and social responsibility are very important to me
I am an optimist, fully enjoying my bold journey through life, always intellectually curios and in pursuit of knowledge.
I live an active and healthy lifestyle; enjoy hiking and backpacking, workout at the gym, reading, music, movies, plays/musicals, volunteering and all animals.
Unfortunately, not really into any particular sport, but there is always cricket.
I read the morning paper from cover to cover, read a good sci fi book and who dunnit novel.
Love PBS and a good talk show.
I am very open-minded, tolerant and embrace diversity.

Into my 60's but feel and act 10 - 15 younger!
I love a spirited discussion but not an argument.
I am well read and educated and can hold my own on most subjects.
I am very enthusiastic towards all of my activities. I have hiked a lot with the scouts and survived 50 mile treks. Learnt to fly and started to learn hand gliding.
I generally listen to more serious music and also love musicals.
I listen to NPR and the BBC to get in-depth news and read the paper for 1/2 hr each morning.
I go to the gym about 5 times a week and keep having to diet to keep my weight down as I love all foods - trying to get down to 180 in the next couple of months.
Talking of food, I can cook almost anything as I easily follow the recipes. But I like eating out as long as I don't kill my diet too often. I think Applebee's is the restaurant I frequent the most.
I love to visit the ocean as I was brought up in Brighton, south of London on the coast. I don't think I would like to live too far away from the ocean.
Being an Engineer, I love to build things, mend things. I am a whiz around the house but currently only renting an apartment - nothing to fix, mend or decorate. Do not have "green" fingers in the garden.
I go to the occasional play/musical and love museums - got to get to the Science museum in Golden State Park soon.
Movies - I like a good action movie with plenty of special effects. The Matrix just blew me away. But I am also a romantic at heart.
On the TV my favorite show is "House", keeps me thinking and Hugh Laurie is British. Also who dunnit and how did they do it shows like NCIS and CSI. But romantics do also get my attention. Best one is "An Affair to Remember".
I have been here in America for 30 years but I am still very British, my accent, my humor (very much my humor). I have even learned to spell in American! Humor is really spelled humour. Love to watch an old British movie.

I am great with kids as I get down to their level and just muck in. Maybe they see that I am just a big kid at heart.

My favorite piece of clothing is my blue jeans.
I prefer a nice meal planned around some exercise, a walk or bike ride and I love "meeting for coffee" and like to support the neighborhood coffee houses. I like to cook and try new recipes once in a while with interesting ingredients.
I like the courtesies and traditions we grew up with such as the gentleman opens the doors for the lady, pulls out her chair at a restaurant, offers his jacket when she is cold, Never swears in front of her, etc. If you're my age, you probably remember these.
I try to live by this motto: Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Born and raised in San Francisco, I'm very glad I live in the Bay Area.
I love to laugh and make others laugh with me. I also enjoy the company of close friends but more importantly my family. We spend lots of quality time together playing games and vacationing. Because I enjoy all types of music and performing arts, you'll find me on the dance floor and/or singing my heart out. To me age is just a number, I look and act much younger than that number. My favorite spots typically have a great beach.. ie Maui, Cabo or a little closer to home, Santa Cruz or Half Moon Bay. I enjoy getting out on the water in a power or sail boat. I am very qualified to be a good "first mate". I am a qualified co-pilot as well. Love to fly!There really isn't much I wouldn't try at least once!
There are many other things I enjoy, and I'm always willing to try new things. My idea of camping is being on the first floor of the Hilton Hotel, ha ha! But perhaps I would be willing to try camping again (in comfort) ..I am a great companion, a good listener and friend, and I like to do the things that my companion enjoys as well. I'll play golf, bowl, tend to the garden, cook, ride..(love old auto's), wine tasting, target shoot, take walks, fish, day/weekend trips, picnic, photography, gamble a bit in Reno, Vegas, Tahoe.
