Date someone special from California, United States. Being a musician and music teacher, I do not meet many people around my age in the real world. In music groups, most of the other musicians are either younger or beyond a decade older. As a music teacher, I basically only meet fourth through sixth graders, their parents, and, occasionally, other music teachers. It would be nice to find someone who is interested in exploring beyond confines.
I am the type of person who likes to have a general plan to ensure productivity, but leaves a lot of wiggle room for the unexpected, random, spontaneous adventures and aspects of life. It may take a while to find the right path, but once found, I will stay on the trail, no matter how tough, until a change of direction is required. In other words, I am adventurous, curious, open-minded, analytical, focused, decisive, and ambitious. I recently returned from a road trip alone, which worked on spontaneity and no set plan to wherever the road randomly took me. I thought I would probably be gone for around three weeks, but the journey lasted a little over a month, as it brought me to Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. Throughout the trip, one realization I had was how much missed cycling-related activities. Upon returning to the Bay Area, I decided to sign up for the 2012 Best Buddies Challenge to Hearst Castle. This will be my first cycling race, finally starting to live a few crazy childhood cycling dreams. Getting back into cycling is just one activity, as I go to school in San Francisco, am an elementary school band teacher in Fremont, and play in a few music groups. In the past, I have volunteered at the Chabot Space and Science Center, but am now using the time to work towards earning a private pilot license; I have about fourteen hours logged. I am just enjoying the journey to where life takes me, whilst always discovering and learning more about myself and the universe around me, and working on giving back to those who have given me so much.
