Date a man from California, United States. Hello! This is harder than I thought it would be. I find it difficult to try and describe myself, my likes and, dislikes. I have a hard time articulating what I really like and what I think about myself (so I guess I won’t do it in much depth here).
I am a caring, compassionate individual, someone who is easy to talk to and a good listener. I love to read and listen to books on tape while driving. I enjoy mysteries, adventure stories, some westerns, historical novels,…I just finished John Gresham’s “A Painted House” and found it an OK story. I’m a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. I love animals and being outside on weekends.
I enjoy classical music but still like the late 50’s and 60’s popular and country western music best.
I find other people’s life experiences, thoughts and activities interesting and conversation with the right lady easy and enjoyable.
I am physically fairly active with dog related activities and teach, train, and compete in dog performance sports. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know both dog and handler and then see them complete a class with a sense of accomplishment.
A lady who is pleasant to the eye, yet willing to express herself freely would be ideal. I’d like to share daily life, have a vacation companion and someone to join me in activities around the house, sightseeing, or perhaps one of my dog shows. Needless to say a love of animals is pretty important to me.

A well educated (post grad in law and risk management) retired from government service and entrepreneurial success who has seen a lot of life, including successes as well as failures and disappointments, and who has had his fifteen minutes of fame, as well as moments of grief, is searching for a good woman to fill his cup.
I am physically fit with no major medical problems and am capable of physical exertion, indoors as well as out doors, and expects any female partner to be equally so.
