I have taught U.S. history courses at Boise State University ever since though now that I live in Escondido all my courses are online. It is fun teaching students to appreciate and enjoy U.S. history and to develop a sense of empathy for the Americans that preceded us. I also work part-time with my brother's parking and freight lift business.
I enjoy traveling (especially cruises and train trips) and love to explore new places. I like listening to live music, especially folk music and the blues. I play tennis, badminton, volleyball and golf. I also like playing backgammon, chess, and cards. I am a certified scuba diver and a private pilot though I haven't flown in quite a while. I enjoy watching the San Diego Padres, Boise State football and college basketball. I like to dance and am learning West Coast Swing and the Argentine tango. I also enjoy playing the guitar. I have two amazing adult daughters. The oldest is an actress in Minneapolis and my youngest is a video journalist currently teaching English in Mexico. I am a good father and raising my daughters is my proudest accomplishment.
