A surfer since 12, I got burned out and thought I could move to the desert, ride dirt bikes, hike the mountains and life would be good........ It was good...still is... but, the boyz are grown up now and its time to live back at the beach ....Tired of the dirt and wind. I am a hopeless entreprenuer and will be till I die......Bungalow by swamis.....I paint watercolors.... play piano. I have a well trained German Shepherd unlike a lot of dogs at dog park.... One son is still at the house going to college...Other two are Marines. I am searching for a new faithful, intelligent, companion who truely loves life and living in San Diego.... I am a Midwest guy, born and raised in Ohio - and keep many of those values. I have lived here in San Diego for over 15 years now and love it! I am the father of 3 wonderful teenage daughters and actively share custody. Stop. 3 teenage daughters - imagine the drama... As the oldest of 3 boys, I am thinking that somebody upstairs is having a laugh at my expense.
I'm educated with Bachelors in Engineering and an MBA - but do not take myself too seriously. I have worked in the telecommunications industry for many years, and it has been good to me. My new gig is Vice President of Engineering Services - consulting, management, and testing type of work. Currently I am setting up a new office here in San Diego.
Over the past few years, I have taken up golf. Sure it can be fun sometimes, but my game sucks! I do like to travel - 17 countries, all 50 states, 7 provinces, and counting. Meet people from United States. Full of life, fit, spontaneous, caring and fun, those are the most common words used to describe me when I polled my friends and family. So, I have to explain my online “name” and tag line. I absolutely love life! I am incredibly happy, energetic and active including kickboxing and soccer... and I reallly can catch a football! In addition, my daily routine includes one or more of the following activities: boxing, spinning, Pilates, running, or tennis. I also play once a week on a coed soccer team with my daughter, son-in-law and their friends (also my friends!) I never played in school and we never practice; so while it is just a recreational league…6 seasons later and 4 goals scored (by me!) we are still having a great time. BTW after my first goal you would have thought I made the final point of a World Cup with all our antics on the field, yes, my teammates are awesome, competitive and fun! Each week my daughter calls out “go Mom!” even though the referee jokingly tells her it’s inappropriate to call me Mom on the field. lol Oh and I can throw a spiral and like to run routes too. :-). I also love getting dressed up and am definitely a girly girl as well!
While I love being active, what I value most in life are my family, friends and leading a spiritually based life. I love cultivating genuine relationships and am fortunate to have two caring beautiful daughters who are married to good men. We have a wonderful family dynamic of love, friendship, respect and independence. I live a healthy lifestyle and look at each day as an opportunity to learn, grow and experience life with a sense of playfulness, adventure, responsibility and passion. I find that direct communicaton works best with those who are willing to do the same in return.
What I'm looking for...you are passionate and opinionated yet kind hearted, you are strong willed yet compassionate and flexible. You are active, have a zest for life, a sense of adventure and embrace life with exuberance including friends, family, travel, hobbies etc. Your are grounded in your faith yet open to learn. My friends would say that I have a natural gift to build warm and personal relatonships. I live life authentically and heartfelt which comes through in my interactions with people. I believe in living a joyful, appreciative life and genuinely share this happiness with others. My personality is an interesting juxtaposition of fun loving athlete to accomplished businesswoman who on any given day can be found running on the beach (afterwards eating a frozen yogurt!) and then shifting gears deploying complex software projects for a large organization. One last important fact...I'm not 49, I'm 52. All of my pictures are within the last year or even a month ago in Hawaii. Based on my lifestyle, interests and energy, I felt that I needed to lower my age in order to gain exposure to more potential matches. Statistics, social acceptance and media have finally outweighed my hesitation and wish to find love more serendipitously so I'm giving this a try. However, I'm holding fast to my belief that a connection, love and ultimately a lasting relationship is amazing no matter how it shows up and it's worth the time and effort to try to find it!
