It's been a bit of an excuse recently to not speding the time I should on developing my personal life. Plus my friends are starting give me a strange look as I continue to say I'm not dating anyone....still!
I work hard at being the best parent I can be. It seems to be working, as I have two fabulous boys that I'm very proud of! Work can also get pretty intense...and I like that. So down time is either really down, recuperating time, if I can get it or I like to escape by getting away. Meeting someone with a similar lifestyle could be really good.
I started golfing a couple of years ago and really enjoy it. I like to work around the house, listen to music and work in the yard and garden...very relaxing! I enjoy cooking, grilling and drinking wine. My youngest son and I just stared fly fishing. There seems to be a lot to learn, but we're having a great time figuring it out. I'm very conscious of my diet and health, but I'm not into any diligent fitness routines. The more power to you marathoners, tri-athletes and 6 days a week to the gym types, but that's not my interest.
I'd describe myself as easygoing and laid-back. More fun - minimal drama at all costs! I like to laugh and to get into meaningful conversation. I've traveled around the US quite a bit and still enjoy discovering new cities and small towns. I'm off to Austin next (first time) for a few days of good food, music and golf. My fishing son and I are taking our first trip to Alaska this summer. I'd like to get outside of the US more, but I just haven't made it the priority yet.
I will admit that I usually think I'm right, although my kids can sometimes convince me otherwise (you're a daisy if you do!). I appreciate and admire strong, opinionated women who also think they are right (we can both be right...right?) Nothing to over the top, but I find confidence in a woman to be very attractive! I've also been described as somewhat sarcastic and I appreciate that! I find other people who are sarcastic to usually be pretty funny. I don't like humor that comes at the expense of others, unless they're part of the fun. I'm a big supporter of live and let live. If you feel that you have a say in how others should pray, manage their reproductive parts or which sexes should be allowed marry one another...we are not a good match.
I'm sure most guys are saying this so it's probably very repetitive reading (sorry), however it's true...I'm very honest and loyal. I'm not looking to meet a lot of women, just the right woman.
