While not particularly active right now, I have been politically active in the past, mainly related to Central America, where I have traveled a little. Currently, my involvement is through donations, e.g to Doctors without Borders and Habitat for Humanity.

I've traveled a little - Brazil, Central America, Ireland, Scotland, Portugal. I would like to explore other countries.
I also enjoy movies. Some of my favorites are old and some recent. Among films I like are King of Hearts, Frida, My Dinner with Andre, Moulin Rouge, the Harry Potter movies, the Shrek movies, the Toy Story movies, Life is Beautiful, and the recent Alice in Wonderland. I also enjoy movies that help me see things differently such as Inception and The Matrix. I do enjoy going to movies or watching at home. Having someone to cuddle with while watching a movie would be great.

I currently teach chemistry, biology &; earth sciences at the high school level and really enjoy the interaction with my students. I will teach until I do not enjoy it – then move on. I have been blessed with great genes (DNA) and longevity runs in the family. My relatives all live into their 90’s and my great aunt Hazel passed away 6 yrs ago at age 107. She bought a new car at age 100 (yes she was still driving “safely” until 103).
Who I am looking for?
I am looking for that special person that would fill the friend, lover relationship. It could be marriage -- but would definitely be a committed monogamous relationship. You would have your life (while I am parenting my little kids) and we would be together most every other waking moment as we would be excited to see and be with each other. We would be open & honest in our communication of our dreams, desires and issues. We would be excited knowing that we were going to be with each other. She would enjoy receiving and giving affection ( a hug in the kitchen or kiss in the yard). Oh, and yes I still love sex. I have a fairly small extended family and would enjoy getting to know yours & sharing family activities. Traveling is a great adventure and she should be ready to go !
I really enjoy music, live concerts, live comedy, movies (action, chick flicks, drama & comedy), playing cards, entertaining at home, travel, getting out in nature (canoeing), snow skiing, golf, warm water activities and horseback riding.

I am not opposed to a fully integrated life -- being together all the time -- but I am trying to be practical about my parenting three young children. Most women are not wanting to re-do the parenting gig. I get that. I am looking for that other part of our lives that can make life wonderful :-)
