I'm a retired widow living near the beach in South Orange County, California often travel to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in the winter. I am really beach and ocean oriented. I love to entertain, travel, garden and read. Candles are a must at dinner, no paper napkins in this tidy house! I'm not too serious to have simple fun; laughing is an important part of my life.
Sunday's find me in church, reading the NY Times, in the Fall, watching football and cooking up a storm or at the beach in the summer with a picnic dinner. "Monday night football" dinners at home are so special you better not call during the game. The FM in my home is tuned to 88.5, KSBR. Soft and mellow jazz is my favorite, but classical, Frank Sinatra, Ella, Shearing, Modern Jazz Quartet or Nora Jones can be heard also. I don't watch TV much other than CNN and Fox News for not more than an hour or so a day. I don't watch the "soaps". You won't find me in the gym but you may find me at the beach, harbor, bookstore.
I can mix a mean martini or a milkshake. I can grill, saute, broil and make fabulous homemade soups and big healthy salads. Dessert is always either crepes or ice cream. Breakfast out is my favorite meal, even at midnight. I appreciate serenity or a great theme party. I can wear jeans or a formal gown. If you have a tux, that's great but certainly not necessary. Spirituality is very important to me. I am not a high maintenance woman, I don't like to shop. I would like to have a partner in life, not necessarily a husband.
I am looking for a one woman man. I think I prefer widowed men as from my recent experience, most divorced men are still angry and/or carrying a lot of baggage. Show me that's not true.
This just gives you a "glimpse" of me. I have little or no baggage. (a small dog who seldom barks). I am a good communicator and enjoy conversations on a diverse number of topics! Most of all, I am a VERY good listener. I'd like to meet someone who sees the glass at LEAST "half full"; a man of good character who will appreciate the same in me.

I am not a "needy" person.
I'm an avid reader, mostly non-fiction, I love to garden and entertain and would love someone who could enjoy a quiet afternoon on the patio reading, helping me select the summer's flowers, and keep me company in the kitchen. Someone who knows when to light the candles for a dinner party, can converse on several subjects and is a good listener. We've all been there and done that, can you read between the lines in a discussion, are you really interested in what others have to say? Can you dance to Frank Sinatra in the kitchen? Can you enjoy an evening home without the TV on? Can you fly a kite or jump rope? Can you spend all day at the beach without being bored? Can you cuddle an extra hour on a rainy day? Can you find enjoyment in walking the dog somewhere new? Can you laugh at my jokes and play practical jokes? You're my kinda guy. I'm not looking to be a nurse or a purse but I'll open my heart and soul for the right man, cook, clean and I'll never break your heart. I'm sincere, social, sexy and simply want to enjoy life with someone very special. I've been widowed twice and still see the glass full.
